2026 Prep Baseball Kansas POWER 25 - WEEK 4
Our rankings see several shakeups after an action-packed week three featured numerous upsets, as top contenders begin to separate themselves from the rest of the pack.
St. Thomas Aquinas and Blue Valley continue to solidify their positions at the top, with both programs moving up one spot this week as Lawrence Free State drops to No. 6 following their second loss of the year. Meanwhile, Mulvane breaks into the top five, continuing to dominate opponents on the strength of one of the state's premier pitching staffs.
Blue Valley West also jumps into the top ten, proving to be one of Kansas's most consistent teams as they stack up victories. Olathe West bumps down one spot to No. 9, followed by Olathe South to round out the top ten.
The middle of the rankings saw significant shuffling as teams entered conference play and began to find their identities. Washburn Rural leaped seven spots to No. 13, making a strong case as the top team in the Topeka area with a resume that already includes wins over Olathe South, Gardner-Edgerton, and Rockhurst (MO). Two undefeated Western Kansas teams follow closely at No. 14 and No. 15: Thomas More Prep-Marian, which looks like the team to beat in 2-1A, and Salina Central, which improved to 8-0 last week.
Trinity Academy moves up to No. 16 following a signature win against Derby as they look like favorites to repeat as 3A State Champions. Behind them, Olathe Northwest and Spring Hill both saw minor jumps into the top 20.
Concordia breaks into the rankings at No. 21 after defeating conference foe Rock Creek to move to 8-1 on the season. Blue Valley Northwest also returns to the Power 25 at No. 25, fueled by a five-game winning streak with victories over Blue Valley Southwest, Rockhurst (MO), and Lawrence. Finally, Shawnee Mission South and Bishop Carroll slide to No. 23 and No. 24, respectively.
