Compiled from submissions by high school coaches statewide, this feature highlights standout individual efforts from the previous week and takes a closer look at the players who made the biggest impact on the diamond.

From dominant outings on the mound to explosive offensive showings and all-around performances that fueled team success, Alabama Diamond Notes is your weekly snapshot of who’s trending across the state.

Kooper Rogers RHP / Geraldine School, AL / 2028 Set the tone on both sides, going 4-for-9 (.444) with 2 RBI and 3 runs scored, while adding a walk and 2 HBP for a .583 OBP. Also earned the win on the mound, tossing 6 innings with 6 strikeouts.

Kade Justice SS / Geraldine School, AL / 2027 Showed impact in multiple ways, going 4-for-9 (.444) with a HR, double, 4 RBI, and 8 runs scored, while reaching base consistently. Also logged 5 innings on the mound with 7 strikeouts.

Hampton Hall SS / 2B / Oakman, AL / 2028 Swung it well all week, going 6-for-10 (.600) with a triple, 2 doubles, 6 RBI, and 7 runs scored.

Ledger Martin C / 3B / Oakman High School, AL / 2028 Another strong offensive showing, going 6-for-10 (.600) with a triple, double, and 6 RBI.

Joshua Wilhide RHP / 1B / Bob Jones, AL / 2026 The recent Northwest Mississippi CC recruit produced on both sides, going 7-for-15 (.467) with a HR, 2 doubles, and 6 RBI. Also tossed a complete-game shutout, allowing 4 hits over 7 innings.

Cole Spanier 3B / RHP / Bob Jones, AL / 2026 The uncommitted senior stayed consistent all week at the plate, going 6-for-14 (.429) with a double, 2 RBI, and 3 walks.

JD Bailey 3B / SS / Athens Renaissance School, AL / 2026 Delivered one of the top offensive weeks, going 6-for-9 (.667) with 3 HR, a triple, and 7 RBI, while scoring 8 runs and posting a .800 OBP.

John Lawrence Chittam SS / RHP / Athens, AL / 2027 Collected hits at a high rate, going 8-for-13 (.615) with a double, 3 RBI, and 5 runs scored, reaching base at a .647 clip.

Hudson Marks RHP / 1B / Athens, AL / 2026 The Northwest-Shoals CC recruit stayed hot offensively, going 8-for-14 (.571) with a double and 6 runs scored.

Chase Taylor C / 2B / Athens High School, AL / 2026 Filled up the stat sheet, going 7-for-13 (.538) with 2 doubles, 5 RBI, and 5 runs scored, finishing with a .600 OBP.

Eli Roberts 1B / RHP / Athens, AL / 2028 Made the most of his opportunities, going 4-for-7 (.571) with 2 doubles, 5 RBI, and 3 runs scored, while reaching base consistently all week.

Dayton Porter OF / OF / Boaz High School, AL / 2028 The sophomore exploded offensively, going 8-for-11 (.727) with a HR, 2 triples, and a double, scoring 11 runs and adding 3 stolen bases.

Levi Morgan C / 2B / Austin High School, AL / 2026 Morgan powered the offense, going 8-for-17 (.471) with 2 HR, a double, 4 RBI, and 6 runs scored, while adding 2 stolen bases.

Tres Moore 2B / Gulf Shores, AL / 2026 The senior stayed productive throughout the week, going 7-for-12 (.583) with a double, 3 RBI, and 7 runs scored, while posting a .667 OBP.

John Luke Stephens SS / RHP / Gulf Shores, AL / 2026 The Mississippi Gulf Coast CC recruit contributed in all phases, going 5-for-9 (.556) with a double, 4 RBI, and 6 runs scored, finishing with a .714 OBP. Also earned a complete-game win with 7 strikeouts.

Jacob O'Bryan 3B / C / Gulf Shores High, AL / 2026 O'Bryan, a Bishop State CC recruit, put together a solid week, going 8-for-16 (.500) with 2 RBI and 5 runs scored, while adding 2 stolen bases.

Price Stephens C / OF / Gulf Shores, AL / 2026 The Southern Union CC recruit made an impact offensively, going 5-for-11 (.455) with a double, 5 RBI, and 5 runs scored, while adding 4 stolen bases.

Caleb Mcausland 3B / RHP / American Christian Academy, AL / 2028 McAusland, a sophomore, urned in a big week at the plate, going 8-for-10 (.800) with a HR, 2 doubles, and 3 RBI.

Bryson Hodge OF / RHP / James Clemens, AL / 2028 The toolsy sophomore showed extra-base ability, going 6-for-11 (.545) with a triple and 3 doubles, driving in 4 runs and scoring 5 times last week for the Jets.

Brooks Rhodes OF / RHP / James Clemens, AL / 2026 The senior added production and speed, going 5-for-11 (.455) with a double, 3 RBI, and 4 runs scored, while swiping 4 bases.

Camden Cullen OF / RHP / Fairview High School, AL / 2027 Cullen, a junior, came through in run-producing spots, going 7-for-13 (.538) with 3 doubles and 9 RBI, while scoring 6 runs.

Braxton Vice 1B / LHP / Demopolis, AL / 2026 The Huntingdon recruit put together a big two-way performance, going 9-for-13 (.692) with a HR, 2 doubles, and 6 RBI, while posting a .714 OBP. Also earned the win on the mound.

Charlie Buttram C / Brooks, AL / 2026 Delivered across the board, going 7-for-14 (.500) with a HR, 3 doubles, and 7 RBI, while adding 5 stolen bases. Also logged 9.2 innings on the mound with 10 strikeouts.

Andrew Edwards SS / 2B / Brooks, AL / 2027 Made an impact in all facets, going 7-for-14 (.500) with a double and 5 runs scored, while adding 5 stolen bases and playing error-free defense in 18 total chances during the week.

Ridge Brown LHP / 1B / Lamar County HighIntermediate, AL / 2027 Dominated on the mound, tossing 7 innings while allowing just 1 hit and no earned runs and striking out 18 in tough-luck 1-0 loss. He did not walk anyone.

Jackson Chandler C / RHP / Hamilton, AL / 2027 The junior turned in a dominant outing, tossing a 5-inning no-hitter with 8 strikeouts and only 3 walks in area play.

Bryant Hardin RHP / 1B / Moody, AL / 2026 The Shelton State CC recruit and former Senior Future Gamer delivered a strong start, going 7 innings while allowing 1 earned run on 4 hits and 1 walk with 10 strikeouts.

Jack Pritchett RHP / 3B / Demopolis, AL / 2026 The Mississippi Gulf Coast CC recruit showed high-level stuff over multiple appearances, going 1-0 with a save over 8.1 innings, allowing just 1 earned run with 12 strikeouts, posting a .084 ERA. Opposing hitters hit only .115 against him.

Barrett Cook RHP / 1B / Lee-Scott Academy, AL / 2027 Cook, an uncommitted junior, closed out a strong outing with a complete-game win, allowing just 3 hits while striking out 8. He did not allow a run and only walked one hitter.
