Cole Mclean LHP / OF / Taylor County, KY / 2026

11.0 IP | 1 H | 0 R | 0 BB | 26 K | 2 W | 1 Perfect Game

Taking home this week’s pitching award is 2026 LHP Cole McLean out of Taylor County High School. The Kentucky commit has been off to a red hot start to his senior campaign, and he continued with a dominant two-start week on the mound. McLean was nearly untouchable, tossing 11.0 innings while allowing just one hit, no runs, no walks, and punching out 26 hitters on his way to a pair of wins. His most impressive outing came on Easter Sunday, when the southpaw delivered a 7-inning perfect game, racking up 19 strikeouts on just 83 pitches in an outstanding performance. McLean’s ability to command the zone has made him one of the premier arms in the state and a clear Pitcher of the Year candidate. So far this season, McLean has been just as dominant, now up to 22 innings with only two hits allowed, zero runs, one walk, and striking out an eye-popping 52 batters while posting a perfect 4-0 record through four starts. His performances on the mound continue to set the tone for Taylor County as they head into another four-game slate this week. Congratulations to Cole McLean on being named the Prep Baseball KY Pitcher of the Week!
