Dorman  5   Byrnes  3

Dorman picked up a 5 to 3 win over Byrnes on Tuesday, using a late surge to take control.  With the game tied in the fifth, Braylon Dean delivered a two run double that proved to be the difference.  Dorman got key production throughout the lineup while also playing clean defense behind their pitching staff.  Christian Musselwhite shut the door out of the bullpen with over two scoreless innings to secure the win.

Landon Hulehan, 1B, Byrnes, 2026

Spartanburg Methodist Commit, The lanky frame stands in the box at 6-2 150-pounds, slightly spread out stance with hands set back between the back shoulder and ear. Utilizing a bat wiggle to create rhythm in the box preload.  During the load the weight slightly shifts back before getting the hands back and creating separation in the swing.  A hit early in the game leads to a multi run inning for Byrnes, later in the game hitting a sharply hit ball in the INF ties the game.  Showing ability to get barrel to ball to limit swing and miss to lengthen at bats.  Good frame with ability to add weight and gain strength will make an interesting follow going forward

Connor Wells, LHP, Dorman, 2027

LSU Commit standing on the mound at 6-6 210-pounds, intimidating look on the mound and long limbs attacking the hitter.  Relied on 2 pitches most of the night, Fastball/Slider.  Fastball worked during the night at 89-91, with tons of life through the Strikzone creating lots of swing and miss or weak contact.  The slider worked at 76-77 for the night, with tons of depth through the bottom of the zone breaking into the backfoot of RH hitters.  Found himself in some trouble with command, when locked back in the zone made for a tough AB for opposing hitters.  With room left in the tank to continue to grow and fill out, will be a staple in the Dorman Pitching Staff.
