Highland picked up one of the better ranked wins of the day, edging Williams Field 4-3 on the road. The Hawks struck early and got enough on the mound late to close out a tight one against another Power 25 club.

Desert Ridge broke things open late in a wild 19-8 win over Gilbert, piling up 19 hits and erupting for 14 runs over the final two innings. The Jaguars got a monster day from the middle of the order and turned a close game into a runaway.

Brophy walked it off in one of the best games on the board Tuesday, rallying in the seventh to stun Corona del Sol 3-2. In a tight matchup between two top four clubs, the Broncos made the final push and finished the job late.
