As we prepare for the fourth annual Commonwealth Classic, we want to make sure that some of the details for the tournament can easily be found in one place.

In partnership with the VBCA, the Commonwealth Classic has been reformatted for 2026. Instead of multiple days, championship format style of play, it is one day of games, on two separate weekends. The first weekend will take place on Saturday, March 21st at Ironbridge Sports Park. The first weekend of games will be played on both fields at Ironbridge, with slots tentaviley slated to start at 12 pm and 3 pm. The full schedule and all other information is listed below.

  • Access to the game sites can be purchased for $5. Children aged 10 and under get free entry to all games.
  • Spectators must purchase admission passes to enter the complex.

VBCA: Virginia Baseball Coaches Association

About the VBCA:

"Welcome to Virginia Baseball Coaches Association, founded to “unite, educate, develop and support” baseball coaches and promote amateur baseball in the state of Virginia.

The VBCA believes that better coaches create better players and more importantly, better people. The VBCA provides a collaborative network of experienced coaches at college, high school and youth levels to share their knowledge and coaching passion through various formats. Membership is not restricted in any way and Virginia is blessed with talented coaches at all levels of baseball. Ten percent of membership fees are designated for our scholarship program. These funds are used to assist coaches and players in attending conventions, clinics, camps and other educational events related to baseball. The VBCA provides learning opportunities and content through Zoom calls, clinics, camps, VBCA Days at college programs, a Senior All Star Game, a spring break invitational tournament, and hosts an annual convention providing exposure to coaches, instructors, and leaders from across the nation in mental, motivational and other baseball related fields."
