FROM WEDNESDAY (2.25.26)

+ GAUTIER VS. MOSS POINT

Moss Point pulled off a wild comeback Wednesday, rallying for a 7-6 walk-off win over Gautier after trailing 6-1 entering the bottom of the seventh. The Tigers erupted for six runs in the final frame, capped by Bether’s two-run single that sealed the victory. Bether finished with three RBIs to lead the offense. On the mound, Thompson worked 6 2/3 innings, allowing six runs (all unearned) with seven strikeouts, while Evans picked up the win with a scoreless relief appearance. Gautier built an early lead with help from errors, but Moss Point’s late surge flipped the game in dramatic fashion.

+ HUMPHREYS COUNTY VS. MANCHESTER ACADEMY

Manchester Academy took control early and cruised to a 10-3 win over Humphreys County on Thursday, powered by a big night from Richardson, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles and a single. The Mavericks jumped ahead in the first inning behind a three-run double from Paul and a two-run single by Ingram, building a cushion they never relinquished. Gooch earned the win with four strong innings, allowing one hit and one run while striking out seven, and Richardson added two scoreless frames in relief. Manchester Academy finished with 10 hits, eight stolen bases, and six walks, while Humphreys County capitalized on limited opportunities despite a clean defensive effort.

+ BAYOU ACADEMY VS. CLEVELAND CENTRAL

Bayou Academy rolled to a 12-2 victory over Cleveland Central on Wednesday, breaking the game open with a six-run fourth inning fueled by a trio of RBI doubles from Cunningham, Batts, and Mallete. After Allen’s two-run triple put the Colts on the board in the second, Bayou seized control with aggressive baserunning and timely hitting. Linkous earned the win, working five innings with seven strikeouts, while the offense piled up 11 hits, seven walks, and 10 stolen bases. Batts drove in a game-high four runs as Bayou Academy pulled away late.
