Week 7 Scout Blog

FM Marcus vs Denton Guyer

By: Max Semler
North Texas Scouting Director

Ellis Seideman | 1B/LHP | Flower Mound Marcus | 2029
LHH with good build, will add strength. Defensively at 1st, hands and feet work, solid actions. Makes accurate throws coming off bag to 2nd. Can hit, handles bat with all field approach showing power. Interesting bat to follow for next couple of years. .410 on the year with 3 HR’s.

Bryce Wilhite | RHP | Flower Mound Marcus | 2028
RHP. Solid delivery and arm action. Arm speed present. Impressive coming out of pen. FB 87-90. 2 breaking balls. CB 74-75 with depth, slurvy action 76-79. Around zone with stuff. Look for velo to make a jump.

Austin Allen | CF | Flower Mound Marcus | 2026 | Uncommitted
Smaller, athletic player. Plus runner with 6.5 60, quickness present, gets his share of SB’s. Can run ball down in gaps. Shows avg arm with carry and accurate throws. Leadoff hitter with plate discipline present. Hit over power. Not big physically, but can play the game.

Easton Mitchell | SS | Flower Mound Marcus | 2026 | Uncommitted
Lean, lanky build with ability to add strength. Actions on defense showing body control and agility. Stays at SS. Hit over power with all field approach. Plus runner with quickness. Athletic, was all district safety in football.

Boyd vs Whitesboro

By: Max Semler
North Texas Scouting Director

Will McIntire | RHP/SS | Boyd | 2027 | Texas A&M Commit
Athletic, room to add strength. Repeats delivery, strike thrower with pitch ability. FB 85-88, 89, CB 73-74, CH 80. Feel for secondary present. Inning of work in win. Actions present in the middle with solid hit approach. Developing power. 2 way player to watch develop.

Stephen Webber | C | Boyd | 2027 | Uncommitted
LHH/C. Receives well behind plate. Solid release and pop times. Hit approach present, uses all fields, line drive contact, power to pull side. Competes.

Elijah Webber | 1B/RHP | Boyd | 2026 | Richmond Commit
Great build frame showing strength, will add more. Did not see pitch. DH this game, can impact baseball, raw power present. Have seen up to 93 on the mound with feel for slider. Interesting 2 way player.

Colton Patton | OF | Boyd | 2026 | UT Tyler Commit
Physically has great build/frame to add strength. Solid hit approach, bat speed present, handles bat with gap to gap approach. Plus runner, ability to play anywhere in the OF. Great sign for UT Tyler. Will continue to develop.

Lake Travis vs Dripping Springs

By: Ben Green
Texas State Director

Cooper Webb | RHP | Lake Travis | 2026 | Texas Commit
Webb was nothing short of dominant in this look. In a big district game, he answered the bell. He set the tone in the first inning, striking out the side on 10 pitches. He would go on to finish the game with 15 strikeouts through 6 innings as the Cavs run ruled Dripping Springs. He was able to finish hitters off with 2 quality breaking balls after getting ahead with the FB.

FB: 91-94 T95
CB: 79-81
SL: 82-83
CH: 84-86

Brady Skutta | OF | Lake Travis | 2027 | Uncommitted
Skutta was a standout at the North TX Preseason All state in January and that has translated to the Spring. Athletic build, with the ability to impact the baseball. He tallied a pair of hits, including the game sealing RBI in B6 to send it to a run-rule. Intriguing profile for Skutta as he continue to hit for LT in the middle of the order.

CJ Hansford | RHP/UTL | Lake Travis | 2026 | Wharton County JC Commit
The LHH has been a big part of the LT success for the last few years. You can count on him to have a solid AB any time he steps in the box. A pair of hits last night out of the leadoff spot, including a single to start the game off that really set the tone for LT. He is a player that can help the team in a lot of ways, including on the mound. Can play all over the field as well.

Elliott Su | INF | Lake Travis | 2028
Su has been a standout this season for the Cavs. A short LH stroke that produces some hard contact. He possesses a mature approach that uses the whole field. An RBI single in this look as well as a loud out to CF. Present bat speed with ability to continue to add strength. Hitter.

Elliott Proppe | C/OF | Lake Travis | 2027 | Uncommitted
Proppe has shown well in our events over the summer and it has translated to the Spring. We have seen him as a catcher, but was in CF in this look. Line drive approach at the plate with solid feel for the barrel. A pair of base knocks on the night, not trying to do too much in the process. Looked the part in CF, moving well to both sides. Solid catch/throw behind the dish as well.

Abilene vs Abilene Wylie

By: Ben Green
Texas State Director

George Ferguson | RHP | Abilene | 2027 | Texas Commit
The 2025 Future Game alum & Prep Baseball All-American struck out 16 in 6.2 IP last week in Abilene. On a night where he appeared to not have his best stuff, he still battled and was able to be dominant in the zone, allowing 1 ER along the way. The FB has plus life through the zone and the CH is a legitimate out pitch with action and deception. The breaking balls were both when right, and both spun well. Starter profile.

FB: 92-96 T97 | up to 2680rpm
CB: 78-80
SL: 80-82
CH: 84-87 | ~1300rpm

Myles McCarty | SS | Abilene Wylie | 2029
McCarty is an athletic LHH with a mature approach. He found the barrel twice off of a premier arm, both for RBI’s in a big district matchup. Showed the ability to use the whole field, with both the single and double going to the opposite field. Looks the part at SS, with clean actions. Moves well to both sides and should stick at SS. Very intriguing 2029 to follow.

Colby Garrett | MIF/RHP | Abilene Wylie | 2026 | Ranger College Commit

Garrett got the start on the mound in a big district matchup and competed for the entire game. Changed speed and slots to keep hitters off balance and lead his team to a win. Stayed out of the middle of the plate and generated plenty of weak contact. Low 80s FB and a braking ball in the low 70s. Big time performance.

Atascocita vs Kingwood

By: Kyle Kilgo
South Texas Area Scout

Jackson Wooten | SS | Atascocita | 2026 | Kentucky Commit
The Kentucky commit showed well again last week against Kingwood. 4 for 5 on the week including a solo HR on Tuesday. He has continued to mature as a hitter with his ability to stay in an approach and sit on some pitches. Wooten continues to play well defensively for Atascocita at SS.

Cole Edwards | 3B | Atascocita | 2026 | Uncommitted
Edwards is a very intriguing player to watch. Every time we watch him he comes up with a clutch hit somewhere. He’s not a burner on the bases but moves well. Like the way he uses his hands to hit and his bat/ball skill. Defensively, he is as steady as they come. Rarely will you see him make an error. Will be a contributor to the right program next year. Side note: Edwards is also an MMA fighter. Tough kid.

Ty Higginbotham | OF/LHP | Atascocita | 2026 | LSU-Eunice Commit
Solid 2 way player with some baseball savvy. Swings the bat well from the left side and can spray the ball around. True gap to gap, doubles style hitter. Went 5 IP with 6 K’s and 2 ER’s on Thursday against highly ranked Kingwood. Shows real command and pitchability on the mound.

Jaxon McKnight | RHP/C | Atascocita | 2026 | Texas State Commit
McKnight threw a complete game shutout last Tuesday. FB sat 87-89 and mixed a CU, CB and CH well. Good movement to his pitches and shows command of all 4. On the week, he also went 4 for 7 at the plate. I really like his competitive mentality.

Cain Lisnyansky | 1B/OF | Kingwood | 2027 | Uncommitted
Lisnyanksy has a lean and athletic frame with room to add strength. All fields type approach at the plate with a nice short stroke. He plays 1B and bats in the 4 hole for Kingwood. Has the versatility to play multiple positions. Projects well.

Ryder Renfro | RHP | Kingwood | 2027 | Texas Commit
Renfro sat 90-93 with his FB and 75-77 with his SL. His FB has good ASR and gets in on the hands of RHH’s. The SL spins at ~2700 rpm and shows solid sweep action. The SL has a chance to develop into a swing and miss type pitch at the next level. Quality outing against a top ranked Atascocita.

Tomball Memorial vs Tomball

By: Kyle Kilgo
South Texas Area Scout

Collins Turner | RHP/INF | Tomball Memorial | 2027 | Northwestern State Commit
Turner threw 6.2 IP allowing only 2 R’s to top ranked Tomball. FB sat 85-88 and T89. Best weapon is a plus CH that sat 74-76 with deception and movement. He’s a solid 2 way player hitting in the middle of the order for Tomball Memorial and playing 3B. Good get for the Demons.

Keagan Fosdick | C/INF | Tomball | 2028
Fosdick went 3 for 7 on the week, including a 3B, with 2 RBI’s to help propel Tomball to 2-0 and 2-1 victories. He is a versatile defender with the ability to play INF and C. Solid hitter at the play with a chance to be a real threat as he matures.

Colton Igal | RHP | Tomball | 2027 | Uncommitted
Igal threw a complete game shutout last Tuesday with his FB sitting 87-89 and T90. Solid sink to FB with sweeping action to his SL. He does not throw anything straight. With a 6’4” 195 lbs frame and a quick arm, Igal projects very well on the mound.
