Welcome to the IHSA Daily Roundup, where our Prep Baseball Illinois staff will provide readers with scores, game recaps, and highlights from the games that took place the day before. In conjunction with our comprehensive in-game coverage throughout the 2026 season, we’ll publish this Daily Roundup to keep readers informed on the latest happenings across the state.
We obtain most of our scores by following teams on GameChanger, as well as through MaxPreps and Twitter. Coaches are also able to submit their own team’s box scores to us via email at [email protected], or through our IHSA Submitted Scores form, which they’re able to request by emailing our staff or by sending a us a DM over Twitter. No. 4 Brother Rice defeated No. 3 Libertyville 16-8 in Illinois's top 5 matchup. The Crusaders offense was led by Brady Cunningham (2027; Texas A&M Commit), who went 3-for-4 with two home runs and single, along with a stolen base, a walk, three runs, and knocking in four RBIs. Gavin Stanislawski (2027) went 2-for-4 with a double, single, walk, stolen base, two runs, and three RBIs. Colin Campbell (2027; Louisville Commit) went 2-for-3 with a triple, single, two walks, a run, and two RBIs. Treylan Webster drove in two RBIs on his walk and RBI groundout. Brady Cunningham also pitched the first three innings and struck out three batters. Austin Mrskos (2026) got the win in relief in his two-inning outing. Colin Campbell finished it off by striking out two of the four batters he faced. For Libertyville, the Wildcats offense was led by Ryan Wilberding (2027; Marshall Commit), who went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run and a single that knocked in three RBIs. Carson Holmes (2026) drove in two RBIs, including his RBI double.

Landon Clements (2027; UIC Commit) also drove in three RBIs on his RBI double and two-run single. Nathan Neidhardt (2026) went 1-for-4 with a two-RBI double. Jeffry Schwab (2026) went 1-for-1 with a sacrifice fly and an RBI single. Ian Boland (2027) also knocked in multiple RBIs with his two-RBI double. Boland also got the start and threw three innings striking out four batters.

Logan JC) went 2-for-3 in the game with a double, two RBI and one run scored. Sean Stolfi (2026) also went 2-for-3, adding two RBI and two runs scored. On the mound, Colin Dwyer (2026; Ohio Wesleyan) tossed two perfect innings in relief, while striking out two. In their second game of the day, the Roadrunners defeated Monmouth United by the score of 7-5. Landon Thome (2026; Florida State) went a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles and three runs scored, while Gavin Hartigan, Kam Alikhan (2026; John A. Logan JC), Bobby Labuda (2026), Jimmy O'Connor (2028), and Josh Montano (2027) each tallied a hit and one RBI. On the mound, Hector Valdez (2029) earned the win, tallying three strikeouts in four innings pitched, while James Wasson (2027; Yale) tossed one inning in relief allowing no runs, or walks, and tallying two strikeouts. For Monmouth, Chase Steward (2027) went 3-for-4 with a double, one RBI and two runs scored.

Evan Bradford (2026; Lake Land JC Commit), Jhames Holley (2026; Joliet JC Commit), and Ryan Myers (2026; Morehouse Commit) each went 2-for-3 with an RBI. Jack Castady (2026) also contributed with his RBI single. Antonio Brown Jr. (2026; Purdue-Northwest Commit) got the win by tossing three innings and striking out five batters. Chris Hicks (2026; Claflin Commit) had a stellar three-inning relief outing with six strikeouts and no runs given up. Thomas Estock finished the ballgame by punching out two of the three batters he faced.
