Everything high school baseball related will be on the GHSA tab on our website. It can be found HERE. This will include the Power 25, Classification Rankings, weekly scout blogs and more.

Today, we are going to introduce a new piece of content called the “Daily Round Up”. Here we will take a look at the games our scouts went to from the previous day and highlight key moments, standout players and our takeaways from the game.

Tuesday

Holy Innocents @ St. Pius X

Score: Holy Innocents, 6-0 win

Standouts:

Taylor Fuller, 2B, 2026, Holy Innocents

Jude Smith, OF, 2028, Holy Innocents

JP Apgar, 2B, 2026, St. Pius X

Xavier Wilson, 3B, 2026, Holy Innocents

Key moments: After a scoreless first couple innings, Taylor Fuller would bring home the first run via sac fly in the 3rd before adding a 2-run single the following inning would help blow things open in the midst of a four-run inning. Xavier Wilson was a constant threat in the middle of the order, coming through with a pair of clutch RBI base hits. The biggest moment of the night though might have been the overall performance from Dawson Radaszewski with the complete game shutout on the mound.

Ian’s Takeaway: The offense for Holy Innocents has stood out in multiple looks for our staff this spring and that starts with Taylor Fuller at the top. The Kennesaw State commit is hitting a robust .500 in the 2 hole, while leading the Golden Bears in multiple offensive categories while only striking out twice so far this spring. The emergence of Jude Smith has been a big win for this lineup and continues to take quality at-bats every time he steps in the box. Hard-hit backside 1B last night and now hitting over.440 while developing into one of the projectable sophomore outfielders in the class. Even more threats in the lineup with Grant Bradley, Xavier Wilson, and Ryan Durham all swinging it extremely well right now. Pitching has been up and down so far this spring for Holy Innocents, so getting an absolute gem from Radaszewski against quality competition was right on time. The senior was living in the low-80s while showing the CB/CH often to keep the lineup off balance all game and allowing just one barrel overall. The private classification is going to be murderer’s row by the end of the spring, and The Golden Bears are starting to stack the pieces together to handle the stretch run.

Westminster @ Blessed Trinity

Score: Blessed Trinity win, 11-1

Standouts:

Gavin Greene, C, 2028, Blessed Trinity

Joseph Contreras, RHP, 2026, Blessed Trinity

Cole James, 1B, 2026, Blessed Trinity

Quinn Davis, OF, 2027, Blessed Trinity

Key moments: Joseph Contreras was lights out in his first start back from the WBC as he struck out 9 across 5.0 no-hit innings en route to a run-rule win. Multi-hit games from Gavin Greene, Cole James, and Quinn Davis paced the Titans lineup to an offensive explosion late.

Avery’s Takeaway: Two weeks prior Joseph Contreras was in the National spotlight during the WBC after getting Aaron Judge to ground into a double play to escape a jam and ending the inning. Fast forward to now where Contreras turned out a bullying performance across 5.0 IP with 9 K and no hits. The full mix was on display with plenty of whiffs with all 5 as he was up to 99. Gavin Green looked the part both offensively and defensively as he came through with 3-hits along with 2 RBI while handling premium velocity with ease. Quinn Davis was clutch all night as he added 3 RBI with a pair of knocks. Cole James went 2-for-2 with two singles and 2 RBI. Charles Loehrer added an RBI single to cap off the run-rule victory. Other base-hits in the game came from Carl Loquasto and Jack Walsh. The depth and versatility of the Titans lineup 1-9 stands out and gives Head Coach Wagner the ability to mix and match on any given night. Westminster will look to bounce back with names like Hudson Tittle and Ford Monin leading the way for the club.

Oconee County @ Jefferson

Score: 8-2 Oconee County wins
Standouts:
Brody Christopher, 3B/RHP, 2027, Oconee County

William Resutek, SS/RHP, 2027, Oconee County

Ryan Reed, OF, 2026, Jefferson

Jackson Beasley, 2028, Jefferson

Key Moments: William Resutek and Jackson Beasley battled it out for 5 innings on the mound. Resutek escaped a bases loaded 1 out jam that could have been the difference in the game. Oconee County scratched a couple runs across early on an error and SAC fly. Jefferson fought back when Ryan Reed opened the 3rd up with a single then stolen base. Landry Boling would knock him in to make it 2-1. Daniel Coker then delivered a big double to tie the game. After that Jackson Beasley had a big shut down, 1-2-3 innings in the 4th. Oconee County would once again capitalize on a Jefferson error with a fielder's choice RBI from Brady Fountain then a 2 RBI single from Blake Thomas to make it 5-2. From there the Jefferson offense battled back, but Brody Christopher put a stop to the momentum in the 5th with 2 strike outs. From there Oconee County scored a few insurance runs with a William Resutek single and Brody Christopher double to finish off the 8-2 win.

Huddy’s Takeaway’s:This was my first look at Oconee County this season and despite the 9-7 record they are 4-0 in region play and just took control of 1st place. Their losses are to quality opponents that has made them stronger for region play. William Resutek and Blake Thomas were 2 juniors that we saw in the preseason we had circled to check in on and both had strong days. Resutek had 3 hits and a strong start on the mound and Thomas had a 2 RBI single. It was good to see 2025 Junior Future Gamer Brady Fountain starting at SS. I walked away impressed with junior Brody Christopher after seemingly doing everything in the game last night. 2 hits, a SAC fly and he shut the game down in relief on the mound. Jefferson is well coached and should bounce back from this with a gritty line up and strike throwers on the mound. Jackson Beasley was a sophomore we had circled to check in on after seeing him in the Preseason as well. He looked good and will win a lot of games for the Dragons the next 3 years. This region is going to be a battle between these 2 teams and Cherokee Bluff with some exciting games on tap the rest of the year.
