ALABAMA — The 2026 Alabama high school baseball season continues to take shape as teams move deeper into their schedules and results across the state provide added clarity within each classification. With more games now in the books, early trends are beginning to emerge as programs build consistency and establish position against a mix of competition.

This past week featured another full slate of action, including area play, spring break competition, and key non-area matchups. Several teams continued to strengthen their résumés with quality wins, while others were tested against demanding schedules that have already led to movement throughout the polls. As the season progresses, the margin for error remains tight across multiple classifications.

With that in mind, we present the updated Class 7A-1A Top 10 rankings. Below you’ll find the latest polls for each classification, along with teams on the bubble and weekly notes highlighting key results and notable developments from around the state.

Weekly Notes & Updates:

  • Enterprise remains at the top spot and did not play this past week, holding a 19-2 record.
  • Tuscaloosa County faced strong competition and went 2-3, defeating Wetumpka and Helena while falling to Northridge, Houston, and Rossview.
  • Hewitt-Trussville competed in the Riverdale Classic in Tennessee, earning wins over Lane Tech, Maine South, and Science Hill before falling to Blackman.
  • Thompson also played in the Riverdale Classic, finishing 3-3 with wins over Oakland, Lane Tech, and Mundelein while dropping games to Maine South, Siegel, and Braddock.
  • Hillcrest-Tuscaloosa went 3-2, taking two of three in a series against Northside, defeating Brookwood, and falling to Cullman.
  • Hoover posted a 5-1 week with wins over Marbury, Plainview, Smiths Station, Jacksonville, and Christian County, with its only loss coming against Golden.
  • Vestavia Hills finished 3-1, earning wins over Hartselle, Wetumpka, Marbury, and St. Clair County while falling to Houston.
  • Oak Mountain went undefeated with wins over Hartselle, Oak Lawn, Lincoln County, Munford, and Rossview.
  • Auburn went 3-1, sweeping Dothan and defeating Russell County, with its lone loss coming to Pike Road.
  • Prattville finished 2-2 at the Gulf Coast Classic, defeating Homewood and Douglas while falling to Normal Community and Winfield.

  • Northridge remains at the top after a 2-1 week, defeating Tuscaloosa County and splitting a pair of games with American Christian.
  • Hazel Green holds at No. 2 after a 4-0 week, earning convincing wins over a pair of area opponents.
  • Spain Park had one of the strongest weeks in the state, going 7-0 with wins over nationally-ranked Farragut, Plainview, Oak Lawn, Stanhope Elmore, Lauderdale County, Smiths Station, and St. Clair County.
  • Mountain Brook finished as co-champions of the Gulf Coast Classic, going 6-0-1 with wins over Normal Community, Douglas, Fayetteville, Oakman, and Oak Grove, while tying Oak Ridge in a 14-inning championship game.
  • Homewood went 4-2 with wins over West Limestone, Muscle Shoals, Hatton, and Lawrence County, while falling to Prattville and Grove City.
  • Saraland posted an undefeated week, beating Baldwin County and sweeping both Blount and Excel.
  • Cullman extends its winning streak to nine games after victories over Buckhorn, Brookwood, and Hillcrest-Tuscaloosa.
  • Hartselle went 1-3, defeating Smiths Station while falling to Vestavia Hills, Oak Mountain, and Fairhope.
  • Wetumpka went 1-3 against strong competition, earning a win over Munford while losing to Tuscaloosa County, Vestavia Hills, and Bearden.
  • Pike Road enters the Top 10 at 18-4 after earning its biggest win of the season over Auburn, along with a win over Charles Henderson, while falling to Opelika.

  • American Christian continues its strong play with a 2-1 week, splitting with top-ranked 6A Northridge and defeating Tuscaloosa Academy.
  • Northside went 1-2, dropping two of three games in a competitive series against 7A-ranked Hillcrest-Tuscaloosa.
  • St. Paul’s Episcopal went 3-0 with wins over Citronelle, scoring double-digit runs in all three contests.
  • Demopolis extended its winning streak with a 3-0 week, sweeping Selma in a three-game series.
  • Briarwood Christian finished 3-2 with wins over Bayside Academy, Sylvania, and Russellville, while falling to Gardendale and Springdale.
  • UMS-Wright went 3-1 with wins over Jasper, Maplesville, and Orange Beach, with its only loss coming in a one-run game to Winfield.
  • Moody went 2-1, defeating White Plains and Minor while dropping a one-run contest to Oxford.
  • Shelby County finished 3-1 with wins over Muscle Shoals, GW Long, and Normal West, with its only loss coming to Florence.
  • Madison Academy went 4-1, sweeping Ardmore while scoring double-digit runs in all three games, and also defeating Randolph before falling to Mars Hill Bible.

  • Madison County added to its résumé with a 2-0 week, defeating 6A Buckhorn and 7A Sparkman.
  • Westbrook Christian went 3-0, including an area sweep of Etowah and a win over Southside.
  • Bibb County finished 3-0 with wins over Cordova, South Lamar, and Sipsey Valley.
  • Montgomery Catholic 3-0, defeating St. James and sweeping Booker T. Washington in area play.
  • Opp continues its strong run, earning wins over Dale County, Holmes County, and Pleasant Home.
  • Satsuma moves up after a 4-0 week with wins over Mobile Christian, Flomaton, Cottage Hill Christian, and Excel.
  • Brooks went 5-1 in tournament play, defeating White Plains, Munford, Elmore County, Sylacauga, and Fayetteville, with its only loss coming to Red Bay.
  • St. Michael Catholic went 2-1, beating Paragould and Baldwin County while falling in a one-run game to Douglas.
  • Oak Grove re-enters the Top 10 after a 4-1 week with wins over Sylvania, Thorsby, Fayetteville, and Springdale, with its only loss coming to Mountain Brook.

  • Winfield went 3-3 with wins over UMS-Wright, Prattville, and South Lamar, while falling to Florence, GW Long, and New Hope.
  • Prattville Christian posted a 3-0 week, defeating Dadeville twice and Trinity Presbyterian.
  • Excel went 1-3, defeating Sweet Water while dropping games to Saraland (twice) and Satsuma.
  • Wicksburg re-enters the Top 10 after a 1-0 week with a win over Kinston.

  • Lindsay Lane Christian finished 3-1 with wins over Belgreen, Wilson, and Elkmont while scoring double-digit runs in each victory, with its only loss coming to St. John Paul II.
  • GW Long went 2-2, defeating Winfield and Maplesville while falling to Shelby County and Florence.
  • Ranburne went 1-1, defeating Central Coosa and falling to Alexandria.
  • Red Bay went 2-0 with wins over Brooks and Phil Campbell.
  • Pike Liberal Arts had a strong 3-0 week, highlighted by a win over 7A Dothan along with two victories over Luverne.
  • Tuscaloosa Academy went 1-2, earning a win over Central while falling to American Christian and Sipsey Valley.
  • Pleasant Valley went 3-0 with wins over Gaston (twice) and Section.
