Aynor 7 Myrtle Beach 6
Aynor secured a 7 to 6 walk off win over Myrtle Beach in extra innings on Friday in a back and forth battle. The Blue Jackets erased a four run deficit and tied the game in the seventh before Xavier Dukes ended it in the eighth after being hit by a pitch with the bases loaded. Dukes also dominated on the mound in relief with four scoreless innings and six strikeouts. Heath Huggins led the offense with three hits while Dukes and Easton Brown each drove in three runs in the comeback victory.

Physical frame kid that showed hit tool to all fields. 1-4 night with HBP but had two loud ABs to RCF that don’t show up in the box score. Good runner who covers ground in the OF. Jumped on the mound for 4 innings in relief. Heavy FB outing that produced a lot of S/M. FB had lots of ASR to RHH and lived at the top of the zone. Great feel for the strike zone and picked up 6Ks in 4 innings while picking up the win. Velo was 83-84 and kept it for the entirety of his outing. Great young man to keep tabs on. Should get a lot of innings this season and expect him to have a great spring campaign at the plate and on the mound for Aynor.

Enters in relief and throws 3 scoreless while racking up 6Ks. Fills up the zone often with the FB that shows some ASR.
