ST. JOHN VIANNEY VS. DE SMET JESUIT
Brandon Ott, RHP, De Smet Jesuit, 2027
Uncommitted. High-upside, projectable 6-foot-4, 193-pound frame with one of the highest ceilings on the mound in the state. Ott provided a strong start on the mound for the Spartans in an extra-innings win over a ranked Vianney squad, allowing just one earned run on four hits over five innings. He ran his fastball up to 88 mph in this look, working in the mid-80s with a fluid, repeatable delivery and whippy arm action from a 3/4 slot. He showed a strong feel for a low-spin changeup at 78-80 mph and a low-to-mid-70s slider with slight sweeping action through the zone.
