STATE D1 CHAMPIONSHIP
Mililani (1) vs. PAC-5 (0) — Final
| Team | 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7 | R | H | E |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| PAC-5 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 4 | 1 |
| Mililani | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 1 | 1 | 7 | 0 |
Mililani are your 2026 State D1 Champions. In a game that matched the stakes, the Trojans and Wolfpack played six scoreless innings before Jake Nishimoto came around to score the only run of the game in the bottom of the seventh to give Mililani a 1-0 title. Ezra Ugale was the architect of the win, going the full seven innings on 93 pitches, allowing four hits and no runs while striking out four and stealing two bases on the day as well. On the other side, Colten Amai Nakagawa was every bit as good, throwing 6.0 innings and allowing just one unearned run on seven hits with five strikeouts. He pitched well enough to win on most nights. The decisive seventh inning unfolded through a pair of sacrifice bunts from Knox Marzo and Kameron Pongasi that moved runners into scoring position before a Koa Marzo Jr. ground ball drove in the winning run. Noah Keitzer went 2-for-3 to pace the PAC-5 offense, and Austen Ahu added a hit, but the Wolfpack couldn't break through against a Mililani club that played clean, error-free baseball on the biggest stage. Congratulations to both Mililani and Pac5 on their incredible seasons.

STATE D2 CHAMPIONSHIP
Honokaa (3) vs. Damien (0) — Final
| Team | 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7 | R | H | E |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Honoka'a | 2 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 1 | 0 | 3 | 7 | 0 |
| Damien | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 3 | 0 |
Honoka’a are your 2026 State D2 Champions, finishing off a perfect 17-0 season with a 3-0 win over Damien.
Josyah Napoleon-Umeda delivered the defining performance of the title run, going the distance on the mound while holding Damien scoreless across seven innings. He punched out nine, allowed just three hits, and controlled the game the rest of the way.
Honoka’a jumped in front right away with two runs in the first. Jayden Salazar singled to center to start the rally, Rory Crabbe followed with a single to right, and Isaac DeRego brought home the first run on a fielder’s choice. Chrys Coelho then doubled to left to score DeRego, giving the Dragons an early 2-0 lead. Damien starter Max DeTrinis competed well, working six innings with six strikeouts and keeping the Monarchs within reach.
The Dragons added their final run in the sixth after Napoleon-Umeda walked, stole second and third, and scored on a Salazar single to left. Crabbe finished with two hits, while Salazar, DeRego, Coelho, and Kiakahi Lindsey each added hits as Honoka’a did enough offensively to support a championship-level outing on the mound.
For Damien, Kona Begonia sparked the offense with two hits and a stolen base, while Max DeTrinis added a hit and gave the Monarchs a strong effort on the mound. Damien had chances, but Napoleon-Umeda and the Honoka’a defense continued to limit the damage.
A complete season for Honoka’a ends with a perfect record and a 2026 HHSAA Division II State Championship. Congratulations to both Honoka’a and Damien on outstanding seasons.
