Welcome to the KSHSAA Daily Roundup, where our Prep Baseball Kansas staff will provide readers with scores, game recaps, and highlights from the games that took place the day before. In conjunction with our comprehensive in-game coverage throughout the 2026 season, we’ll publish this Daily Roundup to keep readers informed on the latest happenings across the state.

Lawrence Free State secured a 6-2 victory over St. Thomas Aquinas behind a dominant pitching performance from Zane Shaw, who struck out 12 batters in a complete-game effort. Nathan Young provided the offensive spark for Lawrence Free State with a go-ahead, three-run triple in the third inning to erase an early deficit. Despite the loss, Aquinas saw a strong contribution from Will Ray, whose two-run double briefly gave his team the lead.

Piper earned a 5-3 victory over St. James, powered by a strong start from Dylan Eikenbary, who struck out nine batters over five innings of work. Owen McVay fueled the offense with two hits and two RBIs while also coming on to secure the save on the mound. St. James was kept in the game by a perfect 3-for-3 hitting performance from Max Thornhill and an RBI from Dalton Ashley.
