On Saturday, April 4th, the PB Texas staff traveled to Legacy Ranch High School in Liberty Hill, TX, to host the Central Texas Rising Stars ID, an open event for the classes of 2030-2031.

Players participated in a pro-style workout, gathering unrivaled access to data through our state-of-the-art tech partners, as well as in-depth scouting analysis from our Prep Baseball Texas staff.

Shows squared shoulders with a strong base through the middle and lower half, projecting well physically. At the plate, hits from a balanced setup with a small knee lift load. Hands work up and back into a solid hitting position with feel for the barrel and a clean path into the zone. Shows ability to create extension out front and work into a firm front side. Continued development in maintaining a consistent hand position and staying on time with the lower half will help improve overall consistency and impact. Power shows early signs of development and should continue to improve with strength and refinement. Defensively, shows versatility between the infield and behind the plate. On the dirt, moves well with quick first step and solid glove actions, with continued focus on angles helping overall rhythm. Behind the plate, shows solid receiving ability with quick feet and a clean exchange. Maintaining direction through the front side will help improve carry on throws. Arm is a strong tool with a compact path, present hand speed, and developing strength. On the mound, works with rhythm and gets into the back side well before moving down the slope. Arm action is full from a high three quarter slot with developing arm speed. Fastball shows good life with feel for the zone, while the breaking ball shows promising shape and developing action.
