Each week throughout the high school season, we will announce the Prep Baseball Oregon Pitcher and Hitter of the Week, recognizing standout performances from across the state. With numerous players excelling both at the plate and on the mound, this award will be based on nominations submitted through our POTW Google Form.
Additionally, we will continue our Oregon Diamond Notes to highlight other deserving players nominated by coaches who were not selected as the Pitcher or Hitter of the Week.
This week's Hitter of the Week is '26 INF/RHP Grady Saunders (Thurston).

Grady Saunders RHP / SS / Thurston, OR / 2026The top-ranked player in Oregon's senior class as a pitcher earns his second Hitter of the Week award this spring. Saunders went 8-9 last week, slugging 2 home runs, a double and walking 4 times. He also added 5 runs and 6 RBI. The Oregon State commit is leading 5A Thurston in the state playoffs starting this week. |
