Key Week 7 Team Updates

Bishop Gorman (#1): Remains at #1 after reaching the 20-win plateau. The Gaels attack opponents with a balanced approach as their allowed an average of 2 runs per game this past week while the offense averaged almost 8 runs per game, highlighted by an 18 run effort against Bonanza.

Basic Academy (#2): Holds firm at #2 with an efficient 16-8 record. The Wovles stumbled early in the week, but quickly bounced back with three wins to get back on track heading into the final week of the regular season.

Palo Verde (#3): Remains at #3 after an impressive week of situational baseball. The Panthers split their series against a talented Faith Lutheran group, then ended their week with a 6-4 win over Durango as the now have won 10 of their last 11 games.

Arbor View (#4): Holds steady at #4 with a formidable 24-6 record. The Aggies' offense continue to prove they are one of the most balanced in the state, after a perfect 3-0 week. 

Centennial (#5): Moves up one spot after hitting the 20-win mark in style as they secured a big win over #2 ranked Basic. This group has proven to be one of the most dangerous groups in the state heading into the final week of the season.

Bishop Manogue (#6): Climbs one spot as they continue to be one of the hottest teams in the state, now with a record of 20-5 after their 15th straight win. Their pitching depth was on full display this week, recording back-to-back shutouts against regional challengers, but don't sleep on this offense that put up a combined 25 runs this week over their 3 games.

Faith Lutheran (#7): Drops two spots after a challenging week where they ended up 1-2, but still maintain an impressive 7-1 League record. This coming week doesn't get any easier as they take on a gritty Liberty squad followed by a series against the top ranked Gaels.

Reno (#8): Remains at #8 with a 16-7 overall record. The Huskies continue to show discipline on both side of the ball, winning 7 of their last 8 with timely hitting and competitive outings by their pitching staff.

Desert Oasis (#9): Holds firm at #9 after securing their 20th win of the season. A major highlight was their explosive 13-3 victory over Green Valley then completed the sweep in the following game. The D-Backs have quietly put together one impressive Spring and are only getting started with playoffs around the corner.

Green Valley (#10): Remains at #10 with on of the state's top overall records at 19-9. The Gators' head into a critical week with a key series against Coronado that will help decide their playoff fate.
