Welcome to the WIAA Daily Roundup, where our Prep Baseball Wisconsin staff will provide readers with scores, game recaps, and highlights from the games that took place the day before. In conjunction with our comprehensive in-game coverage throughout the 2026 season, we’ll publish this Daily Roundup to keep readers informed on the latest happenings across the state.
We obtain most of our scores by following teams on GameChanger and on X, as well as through websites like Bound and MaxPreps. The Muskego Warriors rode a stellar performance from Carter Nicolato to secure a 5-2 victory over the Kettle Moraine Lasers on Thursday. Nicolato sparked the offense early with an RBI single in the first and later added a solo home run to left field, finishing the day 2-for-3 with two RBIs. On the mound, Callen Tomsyck earned the win by allowing just one unearned hit and striking out five over three innings, while Jake Kardelis and Joey Shaw provided strong relief to seal the win. Kettle Moraine’s Callen Mirek took a tough loss despite a gritty six-inning start, as the Lasers' bats were held to just four hits total. Reece Parsons led the effort for Kettle Moraine with an RBI single, but Muskego's consistent scoring and shutdown pitching proved too much to overcome.

Second baseman Cashton Kainz managed the lone hit for the Huskies, ripping a double in an otherwise quiet afternoon for the Eau Claire North offense.

Jumping out to an early lead with four runs in the first two frames, the Sun Prairie East Cardinals defeated the Sun Prairie West Wolves 8-4 on Thursday. Shortstop Van Vogler sparked the Cardinals' offense by reaching base in all four plate appearances, going 2-for-2 with a double, two walks, two stolen bases, and two RBI. Center fielder Cam Glusick also delivered at the plate, tallying a 3-for-4 performance that included two doubles and an RBI to help build the lead. On the mound, starter Joey Tamboli earned the win, allowing four runs on four hits and three walks while racking up eight Ks across 5.0 IP. Grayson Uttech sealed the game for Sun Prairie East, scattering three hits and striking out four over 2.0 scoreless innings of relief. Right fielder Ben Muszynski paced the Wolves' lineup in defeat, collecting a pair of hits and an RBI during a 2-for-4 outing.

Catholic Memorial answered a 6-4 win from Arrowhead with a dominant 13-2 in the second contest.
The first game saw Arrowhead edging out Catholic Memorial 6-4, overcoming a mid-game comeback to secure the win. After falling behind early, Arrowhead capitalized on patient plate discipline and situational hitting to take a 4-1 lead, eventually regaining control in the fifth inning following a Brayden Kuptz sacrifice fly and a timely passed ball. Tanner Buhlmann anchored the effort with a strong five-inning start, racking up nine strikeouts, while Finley Birkenstock was lights-out in relief, fanning five over two perfect innings to earn the save. Arrowhead’s lineup displayed a keen eye, drawing 11 total walks, three from Will Muttonen, and swiping five bases to keep constant pressure on the Crusaders. Despite a two-hit, two-RBI performance from Catholic Memorial’s Chase Freschi, the Crusaders were unable to overcome the combined dominance of the Arrowhead pitching staff.
In game two, the Crusaders dominated Arrowhead in a 13-2 victory, quickly erasing an early deficit with a high-powered offense. Although Arrowhead struck first with a two-run sacrifice fly by Colton Topp, the Crusaders surged ahead 4-2 in the bottom of the first and broke the game open with a six-run third inning. Chase Thomas earned the win for Catholic Memorial, striking out four over nearly four innings of work, while Ethan Adamson led the RBI count with two from the seventh spot in the order. Arrowhead’s Cam Carter struggled in his short start but remained active on the base paths, swiping three of the team's four stolen bases. Ultimately, Arrowhead was undone by defensive miscues and the Crusaders' disciplined approach at the plate, which netted seven walks in the win.

The Mukwonago Indians Varsity delivered a commanding performance, defeating Oconomowoc 10-2. Mukwonago wasted no time, racing to a 4-0 lead in the first inning behind a two-run double from Bo Dooley and a run-scoring single from Caleb Scheel. Ben Jones earned the victory on the mound, allowing only two hits and no earned runs over four innings, while Preston Ciurro provided two perfect frames of relief to stifle any hope of a comeback. The Indians' offense amassed 12 hits, with Dooley and Gavin Reilly each driving in three runs to lead the balanced attack. Despite Oconomowoc playing error-free defense and turning two double plays, their bats were held to just three hits total. Down 2-1 and down to their final outs, Agnew capped off a stellar 3-for-4 afternoon by driving a ball to clear the bases and seal the comeback win. Ben Schultz earned a complete-game victory on the mound, allowing just five hits and two runs over seven innings while striking out six. Waunakee’s Wes DuCharme turned in a valiant effort in the loss, fanning eight batters over six strong innings, but the Warriors' early lead—provided by Jack Solversom and Weston Meyer—evaporated in the final frame. Despite multi-hit efforts from Agnew and Landon Schwarz for Milton and Owen Murphy for Waunakee, it was the Red Hawks' late-game heroics that ultimately decided the defensive battle.
Milton took game two as well, utilizing a balanced attack and a sharp relief performance from Schwarz. Milton jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the first, but Waunakee’s Luke Tattersall leveled the score with a two-run home run in the third. The Red Hawks reclaimed the lead for good in the fourth behind a Gavin Cole RBI double, supported by an aggressive baserunning effort that saw the team swipe seven bases. Schwarz earned the win on the mound, striking out eight and allowing just two runs over six innings of work. Despite an eight-strikeout start from Waunakee’s Dane Haviland and a multi-hit game from Carter Hanson, the Warriors were unable to capitalize on their six walks.
