Each week throughout the high school season, we will announce the Prep Baseball Washington Pitcher and Hitter of the Week, recognizing standout performances from across the state. With numerous players excelling both at the plate and on the mound, this award will be based on nominations submitted through our POTW Google Form.

Additionally, we will continue our Washington Diamond Notes to highlight other deserving players nominated by coaches who were not selected as the Pitcher or Hitter of the Week.

This week's Hitter of the Week is '27 OF Preston Bolam (Emerald Ridge).

WA HITTER OF THE WEEK (4/6-4/12)

Preston Bolam OF / OF / Emerald Ridge, WA / 2027 Rankings  StateRank: 54 / POS: 14 The Emerald Ridge junior had a massive week, slugging 2 home runs and 7 hits overall to win HOTW for week 5 of Washington HS action. Bolam also tallied 2 walks, 5 runs and 8 RBI across three games played. Bolam carries over his offensive prowess into the spring after a strong showing at PNW Preseason All-State this winter, where he posted an exit velocity north of 103 MPH while running a sub-7 second 60 time.
