Tyler Fryman OF / SS / Beechwood, KY / 2027Taking home this week’s offensive award is 2027 OF Tyler Fryman out of Beechwood High School. The junior standout led the way for a Tigers squad that went 4-1 during a busy five-game homestand, erupting for 43 runs while climbing to #17 in the Power 25 rankings. Fryman was the catalyst offensively all week long, consistently setting the tone as the leadoff man. Fryman turned in a huge performance at the plate, going 12-for-17 (.706) with 13 runs scored and 7 RBI. He did plenty of damage with extra-base hits as well, tallying five on the week with two doubles, a triple, and a pair of home runs, good for 22 total bases. The athletic outfielder also made his presence felt on the basepaths, going a perfect 6-6 on stolen base attempts. At 6’0” 170-pounds, Fryman is one of the most tooled-up athletes in the state, showcasing an attractive blend of speed and power with an 86 mph outfield velocity, 95.5 mph exit velocity, and a blazing 6.50 60-yard dash. He now leads Beechwood in nearly every offensive category, including 31 hits, 28 runs, 19 RBI, 16 extra-base hits, and 17 stolen bases, while hitting an impressive .608 on the season. A standout multi-sport athlete, Fryman has also made waves off the diamond, winning the 1A state championship in both the 200m and 400m, while setting Beechwood’s single-season receiving yard record this past football season with 1,320 yards. Look for Fryman to continue to spearhead the Tigers’ offense as they head into another busy week of gameplay. Congratulations to Tyler Fryman on being named the Prep Baseball KY Player of the Week! |
