Vestavia Hills (2) vs. Hewitt-Trussville (1)
Vestavia Hills edged Hewitt-Trussville 2-1 on Monday in a tightly contested pitcher’s duel. The Rebels broke through in the third inning when Cross Tonsmeire delivered a two-run double, accounting for all of the offense in the game. From there, both pitching staffs settled in and traded scoreless frames the rest of the way. Wilson Szymela was outstanding on the mound, tossing a complete game while allowing just one run on seven hits and striking out eight. Jace Riggan was strong in the loss, striking out nine over six innings while allowing just two runs. Tonsmeire drove in both runs for Vestavia Hills, while Gavin Smith added a pair of hits.
 
Oak Mountain (7) vs. Hoover (5)
Oak Mountain defeated Hoover 7-5 on Monday, using a big third inning to take control. Hoover struck first on a solo home run from Jaxson Wood in the opening inning, but Oak Mountain answered immediately with a solo shot from Sam Prier. After Hoover regained the lead in the second, Oak Mountain flipped the game in the third with a six-run inning. The decisive swing came from Jake Hartsfield, who launched a grand slam to left field to highlight the rally and drive in four runs. Charlie Williamon paced the Eagles offensively with three hits, while Hartsfield provided the biggest impact with his grand slam. On the mound, Branson Hogan earned the win, Ryan Turman delivered three strong innings, and Williamon came on in relief to secure the save.
 
Ariton (13) vs. Trinity Presbyterian (3)
Ariton rolled to a 13-3 win over Trinity Presbyterian on Monday, using consistent offense and a late surge to pull away. The Purple Cats set the tone early, scoring in each of the first three innings to build a comfortable lead before breaking things open with a five-run seventh inning. The big frame was highlighted by multiple run-scoring hits, including RBIs from Brodie Lowery, Bryson Rhett, and Bryce Odom. Ariton finished with 14 hits in the game, with Wells Ganey leading the way with a 3-for-5 performance. Easton Kilpatrick, Odom, and Lowery each drove in two runs, while several others contributed multi-hit efforts. Kilpatrick earned the win on the mound, allowing two runs over five innings while striking out five.
 
Tallassee (9) vs. Benjamin Russell (7)
Tallassee held off a late rally to defeat Benjamin Russell 9-7 on Monday, powered by a big fifth inning. The Tigers jumped out early and built a 4-0 lead through the first three innings before breaking things open in the fifth. The decisive blow came from Brue Milner, who launched a grand slam to cap a five-run frame and extend the lead to 9-1. Benjamin Russell responded with a six-run sixth inning to make things interesting, but Tallassee’s bullpen held on to secure the win. Milner drove in four runs with the grand slam, while Avery Brantley and Braylon Rigsby each collected two hits. The bottom of the lineup also played a key role, combining for timely production in the win.
 
Bayshore Christian (7) vs. Bayside Academy (4)
Bayshore Christian defeated Bayside Academy 7-4 on Monday, using a steady offensive attack and strong pitching to secure the win. The Eagles jumped out early with two runs in the first inning behind a single from Hill Simms and an RBI groundout from Casen Whiteside. They continued to apply pressure throughout, finishing with 10 hits and working quality at-bats to extend the lead. Whiteside led the offense with a 3-for-4 performance, including a pair of doubles, while Simms and Bricen Turner each added multiple hits. Bayshore Christian also showed discipline at the plate, drawing six walks and creating additional scoring opportunities. Ronan Yots earned the win on the mound, and Whiteside added a scoreless inning in relief to help close it out.
 
Shelby County (8) vs. Cullman (7)
Shelby County edged Cullman 8-7 on Monday, taking the lead late in a back-and-forth contest. Cullman jumped out early with three runs in the first, but Shelby County answered with a five-run third inning to take control, highlighted by a three-run double from Hunter King. Cullman battled back with a three-run homer from Tyler Brock in the fourth and a solo shot from Knox Mauldin in the fifth to tie the game at 7-7. Shelby County delivered the decisive blow in the sixth when Cooper Pennington launched a go-ahead solo home run to right field. King led the offense with three RBIs and a multi-hit performance, while Skylar Smith also added multiple hits. Ryan Sipes earned the win in relief, striking out three in a scoreless inning to close it out.
 
Saint James (8) vs. Pike Road (6)
Saint James rallied from an early deficit to defeat Pike Road 8-6 on Monday, overcoming a four-run hole to secure the win. Pike Road jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the first inning, but Saint James responded with a five-run second inning to take control, highlighted by a two-run double from Jimmy Dickens. The Trojans continued to add on and maintained the lead the rest of the way. Pike Road made a push late, including a solo home run from Herbert Reyes in the fifth, but couldn’t complete the comeback. Dickens led the offense with two RBIs, while Luke Catchings added a perfect 3-for-3 performance. Saint James also showed patience at the plate, drawing eight walks and creating scoring opportunities throughout. JB Braswell earned the win on the mound, and Charlie Cutler came on in relief to secure the save.
