ANDALE/GARDEN PLAIN VS. AUGUSTA
Uncommitted. Apel helped anchor the Orioles' offense in this look, racking up two hits and an RBI while scoring twice. A versatile two-sport athlete, Apel displayed a connected, inside-out swing and advanced approach, using the entire field—notably lining a backside RBI single during a productive first inning. Defensively, he showed reliable footwork and solid feel around the bag at first base, making several high-level picks on errant throws.
