2026 AAA Player of the Week: Week Two

Mikel Howell
Arkansas Asst. Director

We will be doing the Player of the Week honors at the beginning of each week with submissions due to [email protected] by 8:00 PM Monday night.

Each week, we meticulously review box scores and submissions from high school coaches to select our Player of the Week. The second week of action featured several standout performances, but one player rose above the rest.

After analyzing the numbers and coach submissions, RHP Griffin Vick (Little Rock Christian, 2027) earns our Week Two Player of the Week honors.

Over two appearances in Week Two, Vick threw 8.2 innings, allowing just 2 hits, 0 runs, 2 walks and recording 6 strikeouts — first outing was a clean 1.2-inning relief stint (2 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 2 K) and the second was a dominant complete-game 7-inning no-hitter (0 H, 0 R, 2 BB, 4 K); overall it was an excellent week showing stamina, command (only two walks) and the ability to both relieve and pitch deep into a game while preventing runs.
