2026 OSSAA Power 25: Week Five

Bret Schwartz
Oklahoma Scouting Director

We update the Power 25 after nearly a month's worth of games.  This update features a few small changes due to results on the field as well as still some projection with the talent on the field. Further, we see some teams continuing to get healthy with optimism in the upcoming weeks. All scores and records are from the OSSAA Rankings page or Gamechanger.

Tuttle remains at #1 after a 4-0 week that saw them defeat a pair of Fall State Champions in Okarche and Calumet. Talented and well coached teams that we also saw compete a week ago. At #2, Edmond Memorial returns after competing in the prestigious USA Baseball National HS Invitational in Cary, NC and sit at 12-4 on the year. Newcastle remains at #3 with a win over the 2025 4A State Champion Blanchard. They continue to win baseball games and play at a high level against talented teams. They remain one of the favorites in 5A. At #4 is Stillwater, as the Pioneers went 4-0 on the week and included a district sweep of Owasso. They improved to 11-2 on the week and into a 3-way tie for 6A-3 with Jenks and Broken Arrow which each team staying undefeated in district play. Rounding out our top 5 is Choctaw as they continue to stack wins against strong opponents and improved to 10-2 on the season after a 5-0 week. The Yellowjackets have a mix of top-end talent, depth in the lineup with visible understanding of roles, and a pitching staff that continues to look deeper each week with underclassmen gaining valuable experience. They rise from #7 to #5 as winners of their last seven.

Yukon is amongst our biggest risers as they move up three spots to #8 following a 4-1 week including wins over Bixby and a come-from-behind-victory over Moore after being down 9-0 at the Choctaw Tournament. They added a district sweep of Westmoore as well. They have won consistently with steady pitching, defense, and showed the toughness needed to win when it matters most. Sallisaw breaks into our Power 25 as they improve to 14-0 on the season. They have consistently pitched at a very high level while also showing the ability to score runs in bunches. They enter the rankings after a 6-0 week in which they won by a combined score of 69-28 over opponents such as Oktaha, Lincoln Christian, Claremore, and Skiatook.
