Hillcrest 6     Daniel 3

Hillcrest secured a 6 to 3 win over Daniel on Wednesday behind timely offense and strong pitching. The Rams jumped out early with a three run first inning and maintained control the rest of the game. Austin Hester set the tone on the mound with four solid innings while the bullpen finished the job. Landon Vessell paced the offense with two hits and two RBIs as Hillcrest played a clean defensive game to seal the victory.

Cal Schnabel 2028 INF Daniel HS

Young promising prospect that has made the big jump to varsity baseball this year. Continues to impress at the plate with bat to ball skills. LHH with a balanced stance. Has some quiet pre-pitch rhythm. His lower half stays grounded allowing him to stay through the baseball. Slightly uphill path allowing him to produce line drives. G2G hitter that takes what is given to him. Has shown the ability to have some power this year as well. Did a good job in his first AB letting the ball travel on a 3-2 pitch to drive a ball into LF for a single after fouling a few pitches off. Expect some surprising numbers this year from Cal.
