Over the next few weeks, leading up to the beginning of the 2026 MD High School season, our staff will be releasing our Preseason Power 25. This list will be comprised of public and private schools across the state that we feel have a strong chance of being successful in 2026.

#6 Archbishop Curley Friars 

The Friars enter the 2026 spring with high hopes of making a deep run toward an MIAA A Conference title, and the top-end pitching talent is certainly enough to match up with anyone. Returning four key upperclassmen at the top of the rotation provides Coach Gaeta with options and flexibility throughout the week, and it will be interesting to see how he lines each arm up. The offense returns a plethora of talent in the middle of the order, and if this lineup can stay consistent, look for runs to be at a premium throughout the spring.
