The Prep Baseball California High School Pitcher of the Week highlights the best individual pitching performance for a Louisiana high school player from the previous week.  Each week, high school coaches are emailed and asked to send in their nominees for Pitcher and Player of the Week.  If you wish to nominate someone for Player or Pitcher of the Week, please be sure to fill out this form before noon on Mondays. 

While there can only be one pitcher and player of the week, our Diamond Notes, which are released every Wednesday, are intended to shine a spotlight on other noteworthy performances from the previous week.

WEEK 3 PITCHER OF THE WEEK

+ 2026 RHP Rallin Covey - Sacred Heart Prep 

The USC signee has opened his senior campaign on a tear for Sacred Heart Prep. Over the first three weeks of the season, he has taken the ball for 11 IP with 21 Ks to just three BBs while allowing only 2 ER.

It is his Week 3 start alone that earns him our pitcher of the week award. Toeing the rubber for Sacred Heart Prep against Burlingame, the righthander was dominant over six innings of work by punching out 11 hitters, walking just three, and allowing one hit on the day with one run allowed.

We salute Senior Rallin Covey of Sacred Heart Prep School for earning the Prep Baseball California Pitcher of the Week.
