TENNESSEE - We're excited to unveil our Power 25 countdown rankings around the state. Our Prep Baseball staff worked diligently at ranking these top 25 teams, while looking at their records, scores, and player performances over the previous season. These rankings will obviously continue to change as teams play more games as the season goes on. But for now, let's begin our countdown on our 2026 Power 25.

Today, we begin our countdown by looking at the No. 5 spot, which belongs to the Siegel Stars.

POWER 25 COUNTDOWN: NO. 5 📊

Siegel Stars

The Siegel High baseball team finished the 2025 season 32-15 and was put out by Independence in the state tournament. The Stars enter the spring returning most of the pieces from the state tournament team with a great mix of both pitching and offense. 

The pitching staff returns their two aces along with some big complimentary pieces. 2026 LMU commit RHP/OF Ryan Russell returns as the ace of the staff and has been as solid as any pitcher in the state. Ryan runs his fastball into the upper 80s and finished his year shutting out eventual state champion Farragut through 5.1 innings. At the plate, Ryan will be counted on to hit in the middle of the order and play some outfield when he isn’t pitching. 2026 Maryland commit Colton Baron is back fully healthy and is an ace in his own right with a fastball that has topped out at 90 MPH and nasty offspeed pitches. Colton finished his junior year on a high note, throwing a shutout against Rossview in the first round of the state tournament. Siegel also got a transfer in from Blackman in 2026 ETSU commit LHP/OF Adrian Gomez he should come in as a two way player for the Stars. Adrian is a left-handed pitcher that has been up to 91 MPH with a really good slider to pair with it. At the plate, Adrian has some juice and will look to find his way into the outfield for the Stars. 2027 RHP/INF Jaxon Barrett is another big arm for Siegel with a projectable frame standing at 6’1 190 lbs and a fastball that has been up to 91 MPH. Jaxon should be an integral part of the rotation. In the field, Jaxon will man the third base position and be an important part of the lineup. 

The lineup is just as loaded as the pitching staff with a group of seniors that have played and won a lot of games together. 2026 LMU commit OF/RHP Drew Hostetler is a former Senior Game alum who has some big tools. Drew has game breaking speed with a 6.34 60 and power to go with it posting exit velocities up to 102 MPH. Drew will also be an 

important piece out of the pen with a fastball up to 90 MPH. 2026 ETSU commit MIF Trey Baker is a rangy middle infielder with great size standing at 6’3 190 lbs. With a projectable frame, Trey has a high ceiling with a mix of power and speed at the plate. 2026 LMU commit C Tristan Thornton will hit at the top of the lineup with Drew creating a dynamic one, two punch. Tristan is a high motor catcher with a big arm. At the plate, Tristan gets on base at a high rate with power to all fields. 2027 1B Joshua Duggin should have a bigger role this year and should hit closer to the middle of the lineup. Joshua has good size at 6’0 205 lbs and has a power profile, putting exit velocities up to 101 MPH. 

The Siegel Stars are primed to make another run at a state championship with maybe the most balanced team in the state. Do not be surprised if the Stars are hoisting the trophy in May.
