The 2026 high school baseball season is quickly approaching and as usual, excitement is building throughout Iowa. Players and coaches have been working in preparation for the upcoming season and, as is the case each year, there are some very talented players and teams across Iowa.

Teams across the state have goals and aspirations to finish their seasons in Carroll or Cedar Rapids at the IHSAA 1A, 2A, 3A, and 4A State Tournaments, but there is plenty of work to be done before that becomes reality. We hope to shine a spotlight on all teams across the state as we preview individual teams across Iowa.

“2025 was a special season that included winning another conference championship, beating some really good teams and bigger schools, and showing more of what our program has become. We are sending players to college, improving every year, and building something special here. We lost some very talented players but we also return a lot of talent, that with another year of work and experience, will continue to excel and reach new heights. The main priority for this season is a successful postseason. We will challenge ourselves with tough competition, prepare for big moments, and prepare to win big games in the regular season but also well into July. ” – Drake Wawro, head coach
