NOTABLE RECAPS FROM TUESDAY
#9 Mountain Ridge (13) vs. #6 Riverton (11)
The Mountain Ridge Sentinels survived a defensive rollercoaster to outlast the Riverton Silverwolves in a 13–11 slugfest that featured 21 combined hits. Mountain Ridge brought the heavy lumber, led by Brody Garrard, who turned in a 2-for-4 afternoon with four RBIs including a double and a triple, while Boston Swain provided the fireworks with a three-RBI game and a home run. Riverton refused to go quietly, fueled by a perfect 4-for-4 performance from Gage Zullo and a five-run scoring effort from McKade Ortiz, but the Silverwolves were unable to overcome a massive middle-inning deficit. Despite five Sentinels errors that allowed Riverton to creep back into the contest, Colby Claassen did enough on the mound to earn the win, and Kruz Anderson slammed the door with four strikeouts over the final two frames to preserve the high-scoring Region 2 victory.

#7 Desert Hills (8) vs. #18 Dixie (5)
The Desert Hills Thunder proved that discipline is just as dangerous as power, drawing nine walks to overcome an 8-hit attack from the Dixie Flyers in an 8–5 victory. Despite being out-hit 8–4, the Thunder capitalized on late-inning relief struggles by Dixie, manufacturing the go-ahead runs in a chaotic sixth inning. Hoyt Atkin was stellar in his start for Desert Hills, racking up eight strikeouts over five-plus innings, while Briggs Fillmore led the charge at the plate with a multi-hit afternoon. Dixie remained competitive behind a strong starting effort from Carson Hunt and a two-RBI pinch-hit from Carson Espley, but 11 strikeouts at the plate and defensive miscues ultimately stalled their momentum. Boston Shaffer earned the win in relief, and Maddux MacIntosh was lights-out in the seventh, fanning two to silence the Flyers' dugout and secure the hard-fought Region 9 win.

Stansbury (5) vs. Tooele (4)
The Stansbury Stallions used a high-octane ground game and timely hitting to edge out the Tooele Buffaloes in a 5–4 thriller that came down to the final frames. Stansbury’s offense was relentless, racking up 11 hits and terrorizing the basepaths with eight stolen bases, led by a perfect 3-for-3 afternoon from Skyler Jorgensen. Despite being out-hit, the Buffaloes remained a constant threat by showing elite discipline at the plate, drawing nine total walks to manufacture their scoring opportunities—headlined by Luis Garcia, who reached base three times and scored three of Tooele's four runs. After a gritty start from Kai Astill, the Stallions turned to their bullpen, where Jaxon Wayman provided 1.1 innings of relief to earn the win and stifle Tooele's late-inning comeback attempt.

Davis (9) vs. #22 Layton (7)
The Davis Darts relied on an elite display of plate discipline and physical toughness to outlast the Layton Lancers in a 9–7 victory, despite being out-hit 9 to 4. The Darts' offense was a masterclass in manufacturing runs without the benefit of a high hit count, drawing nine walks and being hit by six pitches—headlined by Kaleb Weaver, who gritted through three hit-by-pitches and came around to score each time. Tyson Baggett provided the necessary muscle with a solo home run and two runs scored, while Mitch Ossmen delivered the definitive blow with a two-RBI double. On the mound, Lincoln Green battled through 6.1 innings, navigating a relentless Layton attack that saw Jowell Dasni launch a three-run homer and Nik Bielaczyc drive in two. While the Lancers' bullpen, led by a strong long-relief stint from Daxton Weese, nearly silenced Davis in the later frames, the early damage caused by free passes proved too much for Layton to overcome in this heated Region 1 clash.
