Today we are releasing our third update to the Virginia/DC Private School Top 10. Take a look at some notes on a few teams from inside the rankings.

• St. Anne's-Belfield takes over the top spot in the Private School Top 10. The Saints ran off another three wins last week, all versus quality opponents. STAB took down defending Class 3 State Champion Spotswood, as well as defeated St. Christopher's twice. The Saints continue to pound the baseball, scoring 33 total runs last week. While this will be dated by its Wednesday release, STAB has a massive matchup on Monday at Miller School, as well as two tough games versus Collegiate.

• Collegiate and Walsingham both jump up two spots after solid weeks. Collegiate did have a one run loss to Norfolk-Academy early in the week, but rebounded with a one run win over Benedictine on Friday. As noted above, the Cougars have two big games this week vs STAB that could push them one way or the other for next week's update. The Walsingham Trojans are coming off of an undefeated week out of state. As noted in the Team of the Week story, the Trojans used contributions from multiple players. Another four games this week, with a significant matchup on Tuesday versus Nansemond-Suffolk Academy.

• Two teams sitting right outside of the Top 10 are Norfolk Academy and St. Christopher's School. Norfolk Academy is a winner in seven of their last nine games, with convincing wins over NSA, Steward, and Benedictine. The Bulldogs also have close wins over Collegiate and Life Christian. St. Chris got off to a solid start to the season, but have lost six of their last nine. While they do have a good win over a resurgent CVHAA team, the Saints are lacking a signature win on the season. They have Trinity Episcopal twice this week, facing Jalen German in one of those, and Highland next week, so they will have some chances to add some solid wins.
