NOTABLE RECAPS FROM THURSDAY
#8 Mountain Ridge (5) vs. El Dorado (CA) (4)
The Mountain Ridge Sentinels made their trip to Placentia, California, edging out the El Dorado Golden Hawks in a 5–4 thriller during the final day of the National Classic. The story of the afternoon was Cooper Goff, who delivered a season-defining performance by going a perfect 4-for-4 at the plate, including a towering home run and four of the Sentinels' five RBIs. Mountain Ridge’s offense was relentless, out-hitting the Golden Hawks 12–6, with Alex Krasner and Brody Garrard also turning in multi-hit efforts.
El Dorado remained a constant threat by displaying elite discipline at the dish, drawing eight walks to keep the bases busy throughout the game. Christian Rojas provided a spark with a triple and a stolen base, while Justin Savellano reached base in all four of his plate appearances. However, the Sentinels found their leader on the mound in Boston Swain, who entered in relief to toss two hitless, scoreless frames, effectively silencing the Golden Hawks' late-inning rally to secure the win.

#6 Desert Hills (8) vs. Pine View (7)
The Desert Hills Thunder survived a chaotic, high-intensity battle against the Pine View Panthers, clinching an 8–7 victory in a game defined by a wild lack of control from the mound. Despite being out-hit 9–4, the Thunder displayed remarkable discipline and resilience, capitalizing on a staggering 10 hit-by-pitches and six walks issued by Pine View hurlers. Briggs Fillmore provided the decisive offensive spark for Desert Hills, clearing the bases with a clutch triple and finishing the afternoon with three RBIs. The hero of the day, however, was Cohen Fuller. After Pine View exploded for seven runs in the first two innings against the Thunder’s starter, Fuller entered the game in relief and completely silenced the Panthers' bats. He turned in a masterful 5.1 innings of scoreless work, racking up eight strikeouts and allowing only four hits to facilitate the Desert Hills comeback. Pine View was led by a three-hit performance from Porter Campbell and perfect 2-for-2 day from Ryan Dewitt, but their pitching staff's persistent command struggles ultimately proved too much to overcome.

#3 Snow Canyon (8) vs. #11 Dixie (1)
The Snow Canyon Warriors delivered a clinical performance on both sides of the ball to overpower the Dixie Flyers in a commanding 8–1 victory. The story of the afternoon was Trent Chris, who put on a pitching clinic, racking up a staggering 12 strikeouts while allowing just one hit over six dominant innings. Chris’s command kept the Flyers' hitters off-balance from the first pitch, surrenderring zero earned runs in a masterful start.
The Warriors' offense provided more than enough support, led by Trey Vaughn, who put on a power display with a three-hit day, including a towering home run and three RBIs. Braden Mugavero and Jagger Mugavero also turned in multi-hit performances to keep the pressure on Dixie’s pitching staff. While Dixie’s Weston Gilmore showed flashes of brilliance with a hit and two stolen bases, the Flyers' lineup struggled to find any rhythm against the elite Snow Canyon arms. After Jordan Andreas provided four strong innings of relief for Dixie, PJ Hancock stepped onto the bump in the seventh to record the final two strikeouts and secure the statement win for the Warriors.

Cedar (7) vs. Hurricane (5)
The Cedar Reds leaned on a high-powered offensive performance and a lockdown relief effort from Kian Carroll to outlast the Hurricane Tigers in a 7–5 victory. The Reds’ lineup was aggressive from the start, racking up ten hits and capitalizing on extra-base knocks from Karver Tom, Karson Duncan, and Ty Rowley. While Hurricane mounted a resilient comeback attempt—highlighted by a clutch two-run double from Lani Matsuoka and a multi-hit day from Max Hutchings—they struggled to solve Carroll in the final frames. Entering a high-pressure situation, Carroll tossed two scoreless innings with three strikeouts to silence the Tigers' rally and secure the win. Despite a gritty start from Hurricane's Jon Raddatz, who fanned five over nearly six innings, Cedar’s ability to manufacture runs in key situations allowed them to claim the important Region 9 road win.
