Missouri Class of 2027 Rankings Update: Preseason Edition

The 2026 Missouri high school baseball season is right around the corner, and with our full slate of preseason events now complete, the Prep Baseball Missouri staff has made an update to the Show-Me State’s 2027 rankings before the juniors take the field this spring.

Following our preseason showcase season, this update is packed full of movement and includes over sixty newcomers that enter our rankings as we expand to 300 players.
Below, we take a closer look at this update, highlighting the top of the rankings while also examining the class as a whole, including notable newcomers and names trending upward. Read on for the full breakdown.

Evan Loftis RHP / Liberty North, MO / 2027Rankings StateRank: 10 / POS: 3
Loftis didn't just stand out among the state's junior class—he emerged as one of the biggest winners of the entire preseason. The 2025 Future Games alum turned in an electric bullpen at our Kansas City Preseason ID, touching 94 mph with his fastball and given his projectable 6-foot-3, 196-pound frame, there is a chance for even more to come. The Liberty North product leaps 19 spots in this update, officially cracking the top 10. |

Mason Young SS / RHP / Webb City, MO / 2027Rankings StateRank: 56 / POS: 9
A massive riser in this update, Young climbed over 30 spots following a standout performance at the MOKAN Preseason All-State in February. The Webb City product continues to add strength to his 6-foot-4, 187-pound frame, showcasing a high-end two-way profile. With mid-90s exit velocities and a fastball that touched 88.5 mph, his ease of operation on the mound suggests there is plenty more velocity coming in the near future. |

Garrett George RHP / Lee's Summit, MO / 2027Rankings StateRank: 67 / POS: 20
George has taken a significant leap on the mound since the fall, now sitting in the upper 80s and touching 88.8 mph at our Inside Edge Scout Day. While the velocity jump is notable, it’s his wipeout slider that separates him as a premier arm. Spinning north of 2,500 RPM with an average of -18" of horizontal movement, it’s arguably one of the best breaking balls in the state. The Lee's Summit product is primed for a massive spring with the Tigers and climbs over 30 spots in this update. |

Raiden Redd OF / RHP / Sullivan, MO / 2027Rankings StateRank: 82 / POS: 20
Few players have steadily risen over the past year like Redd. He has consistently put on a show in BP across multiple looks and appears primed for a breakout junior campaign this spring. At our A’s Scout Day this winter, Redd showcased a intentful right-handed stroke, posting exit velocities north of 104 mph. It was his ability to consistently find the barrel that helped him jump another 23 spots in this update. |

Carson Hardin RHP / OF / Seckman, MO / 2027Rankings StateRank: 96 / POS: 23
Hardin climbs 13 spots in this update following a pair of standout two-way performances at the Missouri Preseason All-State and Naturals Scout Day. At 6-foot-3 and 188 pounds, he has shown significant jumps across the board and now pairs mid-to-upper 90s exit velocities at the plate with a fastball that has climbed to 88 mph on the mound, marking him as a high-follow prospect this spring. |

Logan Kroeger C / 3B / Palmyra, MO / 2027Rankings StateRank: 97 / POS: 14
A standout from the small-school ranks, Kroeger turned heads at the Missouri Preseason All-State with an intriguing blend of speed, power, and defensive ability. Built with visible strength in a 6-foot, 201-pound frame, he produced triple-digit exit velocities and clocked a 6.82 60-yard dash. Behind the plate, his arm talent was on full display with 1.87–1.98 pop times. He takes a 14-spot jump into our top 100 in this update. |

Brody Meyer OF / RHP / Jackson, MO / 2027Rankings StateRank: 114 / POS: 24
Meyer claims one of the largest jumps in this update, skyrocketing over 60 spots to land at No. 114. The Jackson product has taken a monumental leap on both sides of the ball since our last look. Offensively, he showcased a physical right-handed swing that consistently produced triple-digit exit velocities while on the mound, he ran his fastball into the mid-80s. With his current trajectory, there is clearly more ceiling to tap into both on both sides of the ball. |

Colin Applebaum OF / RHP / Parkway Central, MO / 2027Rankings StateRank: 118 / POS: 26
Another big winner of the winter, Applebaum jumps 24 spots to No. 118 after a standout Preseason All-State. The physical LHH showed improved polish and strength, pairing a 99.3 mph peak exit velocity with an 91.5 mph average and will be a bat to keep an eye on heading into the spring. |

Connor Harris RHP / 1B / Fort Osage, MO / 2027Rankings StateRank: 138 / POS: 31
Harris was a standout on the mound at the MOKAN Preseason All-State, filling the zone with a riding fastball that touched 87 mph. The Fort Osage product showed advanced feel for a four-pitch mix, including two breaking balls and a changeup with heavy arm-side fade. He looks primed to be a frontline arm for the Indians this spring and is up 30 spots in this update. |

Jayce Baedke 1B / LHP / Marshfield, MO / 2027Rankings StateRank: 180 / POS: 9
Baedke has shown remarkable development over the past year, with visible jumps even since our initial look this preseason in January. A physical, strength-filled presence at 6-foot, 210 pounds, the left-handed hitter was consistently on the barrel at the Missouri Preseason All-State, demonstrating a clear intent to do damage throughout his round, punctuated by a loud 98.6 mph peak exit velocity. He earns a spot in our top 200 in this update. |

Nickolas Mamon RHP / 1B / Kirkwood, MO / 2027Rankings StateRank: 30 / POS: 9
Our staff got our first look at Mamon at the A’s Scout Day in February, and he certainly did not disappoint. Boasting a frame to dream on"at 6-foot-7, 185 pounds, the right-hander offers some of the highest projectability in the state. During our look, he ran his fastball up to 89 mph, pairing it with two distinct breaking balls and a fading changeup. With one of the highest ceilings in the class and present arm speed, Mamon makes debut in our rankings at No. 30. |

Jamie Billups LHP / 1B / Blue Springs South, MO / 2027Rankings StateRank: 35 / POS: 6
Billups makes his debut in our rankings at No. 35 after a standout performance at the Inside Edge Scout Day in early February. Standing at an imposing 6-foot-5, 200 pounds, the left-hander already looks the part of a frontline arm for the defending Class 6 State Champions. During our look, he ran his fastball up to 89 mph, pairing it with a sharp curveball/splitter combination that flashed legitimate swing-and-miss potential. Billups is a name that should be on coaches radar heading into the spring season. |

Camden Lassley RHP / OF / Kickapoo, MO / 2027Rankings StateRank: 50 / POS: 15
The Springfield area continues to prove it’s a hotbed for baseball talent, and our Kansas City Preseason ID provided a first look at one of the region's top arms. Lassley emerged as an arm to follow in this look, utilizing a simple, repeatable delivery to run his fastball up to 89.5 mph with notable ride through the zone. He paired the heater with a short, tight slider that showed late bite, helping him earn a debut in our rankings at No. 50. |

Evan McDaniel RHP / 1B / Kearney, MO / 2027Rankings StateRank: 65 / POS: 18
McDaniel was a clear standout at our East KC Preseason ID, delivering an eye-catching two-way performance. The recent Central Missouri commit showed elite bat speed, reaching triple-digit exit velocities at the plate, however, his highest ceiling may be on the mound, where he worked in the upper 80s and topped out at 89.7 mph. Standing at a lean 6-foot-4, 172 pounds, McDaniel possesses a frame that suggests more is still to come. He makes his debut in our rankings at No. 65. |

Hunter Holst RHP / Liberty (Wentzville), MO / 2027Rankings StateRank: 98 / POS: 24
Standing at a hard-to-miss 6-foot-7, 230 pounds, Holst emerged from the Rawlings Tigers Scout Day as a physical arm to keep on the radar this spring. The right-hander displayed natural arm strength, running his fastball up to 89 mph, pairing the heater with a slider sitting 76–80 mph, showcasing the ability to throw both for strikes. Holst makes his debut in our top 100 at No. 98. |

Caleb Kasper RHP / Marshfield, MO / 2027Rankings StateRank: 103 / POS: 26
Kasper is yet another Springfield-area product who delivered a statement performance in his Prep Baseball debut. Standing a sturdy 6-foot, 200 pounds, the righty showcased significant raw arm strength, consistently working his fastball into the upper 80s and topping out at 89 mph. He complemented the heater with a developing slider and splitter. Kasper makes his entrance in the rankings at No. 103, a number that could quickly climb as he continues to polish his secondary offerings. |

AJ Robbins RHP / SS / Farmington, MO / 2027Rankings StateRank: 105 / POS: 28
Robbins makes his debut at No. 105 in our latest rankings following a standout performance at the A’s Scout Day in St. Louis. The 6-foot-1, 195-pound right-hander impressed our staff with advanced feel for the strike zone across his entire arsenal. His fastball worked up to 87 mph, but it was his slider that stood out as a true separator, flashing legitimate swing-and-miss potential. |

Tucker Gamet SS / 2B / Liberty North, MO / 2027Rankings StateRank: 113 / POS: 21
Gamet delivered arguably one of the most well-rounded performances of the preseason at our Kansas City Preseason ID, establishing himself as a quick-twitch athlete to see. His elite athleticism was on full display throughout the event, headlined by a 6.67 60-yard dash. That explosive movement translated to the field as well, where he posted a 99 mph exit velocity at the plate and showcased a 88 mph infield velocity. Gamet enters the rankings at No. 113. |
