2027 SS/2B Drew Squires (Green County HS) is off to one of the hottest starts in the state, putting together eye-popping production through the early part of the 2026 season. Squires currently leads his club in hits (9), runs (11), extra-base hits (5), stolen bases (8), and batting average, hitting an incredible .818 while adding two home runs and six RBIs. The impact has been immediate and consistent, showing an aggressive, confident approach at the plate with the ability to do damage while also applying pressure on the bases. He’s also contributed on the mound, tossing 7.2 scoreless innings with seven strikeouts, allowing just four hits and no runs.

At 5’10”, 201 pounds, Squires brings a strong, physical build that translates to loud offensive metrics, including a 101.5 mph exit velocity and 377-foot max distance. The swing is powered by quick hands and strength, backed by 22.3 mph hand speed and 78.6 mph bat speed, pointing to continued impact moving forward. He pairs that with a 7.21 60-yard dash and 84 mph arm strength across the infield, giving him versatility on the dirt. A 2025 Future Games standout, Squires is combining high-level production with real tools, establishing himself as a high-follow uncommitted name in Kentucky’s 2027 class.
