AZ Hitter/Pitcher of the Week: Week 2

Reed Ross C / OF / Phoenix Country, AZ / 2027

Phoenix Country Day’s Reed Ross delivered one of the most prolific power-hitting displays in Arizona high school history this week, earning Hitter of the Week honors. The sophomore catcher was an absolute force, putting up perfect multi-hit performances in every contest. Ross punctuated his record-breaking week against Fountain Hills on March 12th, where he went a perfect 4-for-4 with three home runs and five RBIs. In the process, Ross surpassed the school's single-season home run record with eight total blasts on the year. Currently leading the state in home runs, the 2027 standout finished the week hitting .900 with a staggering 2.387 OPS.

Patrick Bromund LHP / Higley, AZ / 2027

Higley sophomore Patrick Bromund turned in a masterclass on the mound this week, earning Pitcher of the Week honors for a historically dominant outing. The left-hander was untouchable against ALA-Queen Creek, firing a complete game no-hitter to secure the victory for the Knights. Bromund displayed elite command throughout the contest, racking up 6 strikeouts across his five innings of work with zero walks. By consistently working ahead in counts and neutralizing bats with a sharp three-pitch mix, Bromund has quickly established himself as a frontline starter for Higley.
