NOTABLE RECAPS FROM WEDNESDAY
#13 Riverton (6) vs. #4 Pleasant Grove (2)
The Riverton Varsity Silverwolves delivered an efficient and balanced performance yesterday, March 11, 2026, to earn a 6–2 victory over the Pleasant Grove Varsity Vikings. Riverton’s offense was keyed by Bryce Mounteer, who remained locked in with a three-hit day, and McKade Ortiz, who showed great situational awareness by driving in two runs on two sacrifice flies. On the mound, the Silverwolves received a brilliant relief effort from Boston Hatch, who tossed five hitless innings with three strikeouts to shut down any hope of a Vikings comeback. Pleasant Grove played with great competitive energy and found an early spark from Connor Ybarra, who tripled and drove in a run, and Ryder Huntsman, who collected a hit and struck out four in his start. While the Vikings displayed great defensive focus for much of the game, Riverton’s ability to capitalize on scoring opportunities and dominant relief pitching proved to be the winning formula.
