2026 OSSAA Team Preview: Yukon Millers

Prep Baseball Oklahoma Staff

The Oklahoma high school baseball season kicks off on Feb. 23 for classes A and B and Mar. 1 for classes 2A-6A, opening day for regular season action under OSSAA regulations. Leading up to opening day, we’ll be publishing our team previews ahead of the 2025 spring season, touching on programs spanning all state classifications, counting down to the official Prep Baseball Oklahoma Preseason Power 25 Rankings.

Perennially, we’ve submitted a preseason questionnaire to high school head coaches across the entire state. Their responses have been flooding in and we’re using the detailed insight they’ve provided in our team-by-team preseason analysis.

Our 2026 preseason coverage continues today.

2026 SEASON OUTLOOK

No. of Returning Position Players: 3
No. of Returning Pitchers: 1

Top Returners:

  • Eddie Fish - 2026, INF, 5'10 - 195, R/R (Louisana Tech)
    • 3 year starter. He's coming off a big year at SS last year and hopes to improve on his production this upcoming Spring Season.
  • Brayden Trogdon - 2026, P/1b, 6'1 - 200, R/R (Youngstown State)
    • Pitched in a lot of district games last season and looks to make a jump as the #1 option this Spring.
  • Drake Pace - 2027, INF 6'2 - 195, L/R
    • Surprised a lot of people last year with the season he had. He also has worked hard and wants to improve on a good sophomore season.
  • Zayden Khalil - 2028 - INF 6'0 - 205, R/R
    • Started as a Freshman about half way through last season and produced well. If he can make big strides, it will really help this team take the next step.

Top Newcomers:

  • Preston Klose - P/1b 2027 6'3 215 R/R -
    • He had a really good summer, put up some good numbers. He's going to be needed on the mound for us to make a run at this.
  • Owen Blair - P/C 2027, 5'10 160, R/R -
    • A much needed addition behind the plate but also competes on the mound with three pitches.

Key Players Lost:

Coach’s Insight: “Our team strength right now is our depth. I think we are two deep at each position. This has really helped our fall and winter practices. It's helping us stay competitive each day. A weakness for us is the lack of returning innings from last season. We have talented arms, but not a lot of experience. Some of our guys will be thrown in the fire early to see what they can do. ” – Ryan Phillips, head coach

Outlook: The Yukon Millers will return a talented core offensively that can score runs in bunches with extra base hit potential throughout the lineup. They are even deeper going into 2026 which should make them more dynamic and have the ability to win in a variety of ways. They return a large chunk from the top of the order that come off a big 2025 and appear primed to pick up where they left off. Further, the extra base hit potential in the order should free up plenty of opportunities to steal bases and pressure opposing defenses. Coach Phillips and the Yukon staff have continued to develop talented arms and despite losing such important pieces a year ago, they've reloaded for the 2026 spring. Depth will be an early question, but one that you expect to be answered throughout the spring. One of the more potent offenses in the state, and playing steady defense around the yard will make the Millers a team to watch in the mix for the 6A title.
