The Arkansas high school baseball season kicks off on Mar. 2, opening day for regular season action under AAA regulations. Leading up to opening day, we’ll be publishing our team previews ahead of the 2026 spring season, touching on programs spanning all state classifications, counting down to the official Prep Baseball Arkansas Preseason Power 25 Rankings.

Perennially, we’ve submitted a preseason questionnaire to high school head coaches across the entire state. Their responses have been flooding in and we’re using the detailed insight they’ve provided in our team-by-team preseason analysis.

Top Returners:

• Jaxson Koenigseder (2028) - RHP/SS, 5'10, 150lbs, R/R
  • Good hands with range to take away plays in the hole or up the middle. Mid 80's velo with good command.
• Cooper Goodall (2028) - C, 6'0, 180lbs, R/R
  • Tough out, spray hitter with power. Blocks and receives well behind the plate with a big arm.
• Ethan Linboom (2027) - 5'10, 130lbs, R/R
  • The type of guy you want on your team. Can play anywhere in the field, great range and hands at 2B, SS and 3B. Approaches AB's with great feel for the zone and will work pitch counts.
• Fischer McKnight (2028) - 5'11, 200lbs, R/R
  • Plays either corner with great feel, good hands, arm strength. Line drive and power hitter, tough out.
• Tanner Hegeman (2026) - 5'7, 120lbs, R/R
  • Perfect leadoff guy who can work deep into counts with awareness and bat control. 4.5 speed in the 40 and causes chaos on the bases. CF that can cover a ton of ground.
• Kade Bartlett (2026) - RHP/1B, 5'10 230lbs, R/R
  • Mixes pitches and locates well to keep hitters off balance. Cleanup hitter who has tons of power and patience to find his pitch. Big RBI guy.
    

Top Newcomers:

• Mason Vick (2027) - RHP/INF, 5'11 160lbs, R/R
  • Has the mental edge to bring with power and batting average. Will be a big key for us on the mound this season. Competes.
