+ STONE VS RESURRECTION CATHOLIC

Stone came from behind to defeat Resurrection Catholic 8-7 on Friday, completing the comeback with a go-ahead RBI single in the ninth inning. Stone struck early with a solo home run in the first but fell behind after Resurrection Catholic responded with a four-run inning. The Tomcats battled back to tie the game in the sixth with a double and a grand slam before eventually taking the lead late. Stone finished with nine hits in the win, while the pitching staff combined for strong relief work to secure the comeback victory.

+ PONTOTOC VS NEW ALBANY

Pontotoc edged New Albany 7-6 on Thursday, scoring the go-ahead run in the top of the seventh to secure the win. Pontotoc jumped out to an early lead with multiple doubles in the first two innings, but New Albany battled back after trailing by five and briefly took the lead in the fifth. Pontotoc responded late with a clutch double and a run forced in by a hit-by-pitch to reclaim the lead. The Warriors finished with several key extra-base hits while the bullpen delivered scoreless relief to close out the game.

+ MARSHALL ACADEMY VS BOONEVILLE

Booneville defeated Marshall Academy 8-2 on Thursday, using a strong offensive performance to take control early. After Marshall Academy scored first, Booneville responded with runs in the first and added insurance in the third to build the lead. Booneville totaled multiple hits throughout the lineup and also drew several walks to keep pressure on the defense. On the mound, Booneville’s starter worked five solid innings, limiting the damage and helping secure the win.

+ NORTH DELTA VS OLIVE BRANCH

North Delta defeated Olive Branch 11-4 on Thursday, breaking the game open with a six-run fifth inning highlighted by several RBI hits and a key double. North Delta set the tone early with two runs in the first and finished with 14 hits on the day. The starting pitcher worked four innings while limiting damage, and the offense continued to apply pressure throughout the game to secure the win. Olive Branch collected a handful of hits but couldn’t keep pace with North Delta’s offensive surge.

+ JACKSON PREP VS JACKSON ACADEMY

Jackson Academy walked off Jackson Prep 3-1 on Thursday, winning the rivalry matchup on a two-run home run in the bottom of the seventh. Jackson Prep struck first with a sacrifice fly in the opening inning before Jackson Academy tied the game in the second. Strong pitching kept the game tight throughout, but the Raiders delivered the decisive swing late to secure the win. Jackson Academy also applied pressure on the bases and played clean defense in the victory.
