Coaches Outlook: After finishing third at the state tournament last season, our expectations are straightforward — we’re aiming to win a state championship. We return strong depth across the roster, particularly on the mound, up the middle, and in the outfield, which gives us flexibility and consistency over a long season. This is a veteran group that understands postseason baseball and the level of preparation it demands. We’re built on pitching depth, clean defense, and a lineup that can apply pressure from top to bottom. Last year set the standard; this year the focus is finishing the job." - Joe Fleury and Scott Hameister, coaches

Overall Summary

Jackson enters the 2026 season with high hopes after a deep postseason run last spring. The Timberwolves are anchored by their strong senior class, with OF/LHP and Everett CC commit Ashton Bergman at the forefront. The lefty was the team's leading hitter and an on-base machine last spring and will likely be a sparkplug at the top of the order once again. Senior RHP and Puget Sound commit Quin Johns threw the most innings of any returner on the mound, logging 29.1 IP with a sub-1 ERA in an exceptional junior campaign. Senior Colby Bossert is another experienced bat that will hit near the top, while INF/RHP and Everett CC commit Gavin Clark is an electric arm talent when it all clicks. The junior class also features talent and experience, with catcher Gavin Duckart providing a steady, mature presence behind the dish. RHP/INF Austin Halvorson is a high-upside player who Prep Baseball expects grow into a larger role on the mound this spring. Coaches Joe Fleury and Scott Hameister are circling games against Mount Vernon, Bainbridge, Stanwood and Lake Stevens as key games for the Timberwolves this spring. Expect Jackson to lean on their talented core and once again be among the better 4A sides in the state.
