2026 OSSAA Player of the Week: Week Five

Bret Schwartz
Oklahoma Scouting Director

We will be doing the Mizuno Player of the Week honors at the beginning of each week with submissions due to [email protected] by 8:00 PM Sunday night.

Each week we go through all the box scores from throughout the week as well as look at submissions turned in by high school coaches to pick our Player of the Week.  There were numerous players with impressive weeks both at the plate and on the mound, but Hudson Morgan's overall stat line brings home the honors.

Morgan put together a monster week at the plate working out of the Marlow leadoff spot. The Oklahoma State signee went 8/11, added four freebies, and racked up counting stats as well. Over the week, he added 9 runs scored, 10 RBI, and 5 extra base hits that included 3 Home Runs. Further, on the mound he finished his week with 2 scoreless innings and punched out 5 with a low 90s FB. Morgan's ability to impact games in a variety of ways, overall stat line including .727 batting average with plenty of slug, and performance against talented opponents gives him the Mizuno Player of the Week honors.
