NOTABLE TEAMS IN WEEK 4 MOVING UP 📈

Spanish Fork

The Spanish Fork Dons (11-0) remain entrenched at the top of the mountain after another dominant week. The Dons successfully navigated a high-stakes road test at Corner Canyon, walking away with a 5-3 victory that reinforced their defensive depth. Junior standout Sammy Dart continues to be a nightmare for opposing pitchers, boasting a .579 on-base percentage, while Matai Johnson leads the power surge with three home runs on the young season. With a team ERA that remains among the best in the 5A Class and an unshakeable confidence in close games, Spanish Fork enters the end of March as the undisputed favorite and has begun to warrant National Top 50 consideration.

Lone Peak

The Lone Peak Knights (10-0) continue their meteoric rise, jumping four spots to the #2 position. The Knights have been clinical, punctuating their perfect start with a statement 13-2 dismantling of Layton and a gritty 7-6 win over Syracuse. The offensive production has been staggering, led by Kingston Stroshine who is putting up video-game numbers with a .889 average, and Boston Walkenhorst, who recently set a career-high in RBIs. As they prepare for region play, the Knights’ combination of high-end velocity from Grady Slesk and a relentless lineup makes them the primary threat in the 6A Class.

Snow Canyon

The Snow Canyon Warriors (11-2) surge into the top three after a week defined by clutch hitting and toughness. The Warriors secured a massive 7-6 statement win over American Fork, proving they can match the state’s elite blow for blow. Trent Chris was masterful on the mound, racking up eight strikeouts to stifle a potent Cavemen lineup, while Kade Kelsch and Logan Ross provided the necessary sparks at the plate. With nine or more hits in eight consecutive contests, the Warriors’ offense is operating at an elite level as they transition back into 4A competition.

Bear River

The Bear River Bears (12-1) are one of the biggest movers this week, climbing five spots to #16. Aside from an early-season stumble, the Bears have looked untouchable, powered by an offense that is scoring at a clinical rate. The senior-heavy roster has shown remarkable discipline, while the pitching staff has consistently held opponents to three runs or fewer. As they continue to stack lopsided victories, Bear River is quickly closing the gap on the 4A leaders and establishing themselves as a legitimate threat to reach the finals in May.

Grantsville

Making their debut in the Weekly Top 25, the Grantsville Cowboys (12-3) claim the #25 spot. The Cowboys have been on a tear, most recently crushing Gunnison Valley 13-3. The engine of this team is Jordan Fawson, who is terrorizing catchers with 19 stolen bases and a .449 average. With Riley Williams providing the muscle (3 HRs) and Colt Thomas anchoring the rotation with a 1.00 ERA, Grantsville enters the rankings with significant momentum and the look of a 3A powerhouse ready to challenge the higher classifications.
