Carroll County
Century Knights
2025 Record: 13-7
Key Departures: Ben Welsh, Hunter Elrod, Chase Speiden
The Knights have been highly competitive and one of the top teams to beat across the county for years now, and nothing should change in 2026. An experienced roster with impact players returning on both sides, look for Century to make a run at a county title which would mark their first since 2021.
Offensively, the lineup will be led by a trio of seniors in Dom Califano (Clarion), Ethan Baker, and Jonny Rekus. Fellow seniors Chris Rowinski (Chesapeake JC) and Jake Coonts should add some depth throughout the lineup as well, and keep eyes on junior Ryan Evans; a highly athletic two-way southpaw who has impressed our staff immensely in the recent past.
Senior Evan Williams and junior Ryan Evans should get the bulk of the innings on the bump, and look for Califano and Coonts to add some well-needed depth on the pitching side as well.

Francis Scott Key Eagles
2025 Record: 6-12
Key Departures: Aiden LeFaivre, Colton Feister, Nate Hobbs, Ben Hasty
The Eagles enter the 2026 spring with a slightly different look to their roster after graduating a slew of impact players from a year ago. Coach Keith will look to rely on some underclassmen to help fill some holes, while the returning upperclassmen build off of some varsity experience gained in 2025.
Seniors Jayden Feeser, Luke Krebs, and Brady Haddock will look to solidify the middle of the order, as junior standout Brett Ricketts should be a catalyst in the three-hole. Fellow junior Jacob Etzler will be another bat to watch throughout this lineup and should add some versatility and depth in the order as well.
The loss of Nate Hobbs and Colton Feister certainly open up some holes on the bump for the Eagles this spring, however, Coach Keith does return a senior tandem in Feeser and Krebs who got some innings last spring and should lock down the front-end of the rotation.

Liberty Lions
2025 Record: 16-2
Key Departures: Nate Martin, Braeden Chubb
Tough to argue how talented and deep this Liberty lineup is this spring, and a state title run is certainly on the horizon for the Lions in 2026. Experience, top-end talent and a notable coaching staff has Liberty at the forefront of a deep title run this spring.
This lineup brings back a slew of impact bats from a year ago, all led by their senior leader in Carter Shanks (La Salle). Fellow seniors in Danny Nelson, Charlie Hitzel, and two-way Logan Garey (Marymount) should add some thump in the middle of the order, while juniors Darren McGarity, Tanner Kane, and Brody Freiert provide key at-bats throughout the order as well. A strong sophomore class to keep eyes on, look for Mason Shifflett, Connor Pruitt and the DiCerbo brothers in Blake and Caleb to provide some depth as well.
On the bump, the Lions will be led by two-ways standouts in Shanks and Garey. Look for depth to be provided by Freiert, Pruitt, and Caleb DiCerbo with some additional innings by some underclassmen. Certainly loaded with talent at the front-end of this rotation, the Lions should be able to match up with just about any opposing lineup.

Manchester Valley Mavericks
2025 Record: 4-15
Key Departures: Grady Magin, Liam Ziegenfuss, Logan O'Byrne, Ben McGrew
The Mavericks will look to regroup in 2026 following a disappointing 2025 campaign, and will have to do so with the departures of a handful of impact seniors from a year ago.
Seniors Luke Christman and Brayden Hunt (Hagerstown CC) should be catalysts in the middle of the Maverick lineup, and look for speedy junior Andrew Brinn to provide some impact ability at the top of the lineup. Junior Aedan Missell returns on the bump and looks to take that next step following some experience gained on varsity in 2025.

South Carroll Cavaliers
2025 Record: 9-11
Key Departures: Caleb Evans, Jackson Wineke, Sammy Gaspen
The Cavaliers look to take another step in the right direction in 2026, and the return of a handful of two-way players should bode well for some more success this spring. The departures of key players, including the transfer out of junior Jackson Wineke certainly hurts, however, this Cavs team has some pieces that should be enticing to watch.
Offensively, South Carroll returns a slew of impact bats from a year ago, led by senior Drew Wilson. Look for juniors Grady Nelson and Carson Boyce to solidify the middle of the order, while a pair of sophomore two-ways in Connor Raeder and Andrew Baxter look to make considerable jumps this spring. On the pitching side, look for Wilson, Baxter, and Raeder to take the bulk of the innings with some underclassmen filling holes on the backend.

Westminster Owls
2025 Record: 10-8
Key Departures: Will Mollman, Chase Taylor
A “sneaky” team to watch this spring, the Westminster Owls are a storied program across the Carroll County ranks and look to add onto a winning season a year ago. Returning a slew of impact juniors and seniors on both sides of the ball, the Owls should be a team to watch all spring long and look for them to compete for a county title in 2026.
The lineup possesses plenty of depth and top-tier talent, led by a strong junior tandem in Paul Burgee, Maddox Stonesifer, and Wyatt Shepperd. Look for fellow juniors in Caron Stultz and Ryan Winebrunner to add depth throughout the middle of the order, as seniors Jayden Cedeno and two-way Brandon Barrett should add some key at-bats as well.
On the pitching side, look for a huge year for junior Paul Burgee, a highly athletic right-hander who continues to garner attention across the state. Behind Burgee, senior Brandon Barrett is back and possesses plenty of projection and talent that should add himself as a really nice one-two punch alongside Burgee. Junior Ryan Winebrunner will look to add some key innings on the backend, and some underclassmen will vie for some depth innings as well.

Winters Mill Falcons
2025 Record: 9-7
Key Departures: Aidan Koerbel
A Falcons team that took the county by storm in 2025, highlighted by upset wins over Liberty and Westminster early in the year should be in line for another successful 2026 campaign.
Returning a bulk of their lineup, Coach Davis will look upon seniors Ben King and Paul Lane (Frederick CC) to provide stability to the lineup, with junior Chase Siegel and standout sophomore Brendan Lewis providing a spark in the middle. A lineup that put up some runs in a hurry a year ago, look for the Falcons to be firing on all cylinders again this spring.
On the pitching side, a senior-led group in Ben King, Drew Lawson, and AJ Reeder should handle the bulk of the innings, with sophomore Brendan Lewis providing some depth throughout the rotation.
