Overall Summary

Clackamas returns essentially their entire roster from last season and enters 2026 as a legitimate 6A title contender. The Cavaliers are highlighted by a trio of Division 1 arms on the mound, all players in their junior seasons. LHP and University of Washington commit Ben Foglio led the way last season, filling up the zone with a mid-80's heater and dominating at times. Foglio can also play a quality first base and hit in the middle of the order when not on the mound. Junior LHP Jaxon Wetzler boasts one of the highest ceilings of any arm in the state, with a fastball into the low 90's. Wetzler flashed at Prep Baseball's Future Games last summer before securing a commitment to the University of Oregon. RHP Cade King is the third D-1 commit, also playing at the Future Games before committing to the University of Washington. The arms outside of the big three have plenty of talent as well. Senior RHP and Mount Hood CC commit Nick Sousa ran his fastball into the upper 80's at a recent showcase look. Senior RHP Jackson Faris boasts a high-spin arsenal and can be great when in the zone. The position player group is anchored by a strong junior class atop the lineup. Shortstop and Portland commit Luke Brady is a dynamic player with a sound glove and offensive breakout potential. Jonah Lam provides speed and contact ability to go alongside quality CF defense. Elsewhere, senior backstop and Lower Columbia commit Nolan Foglio provides experience and some thump in the middle of the lineup, and a great ability to handle the high octane arms. The Cavaliers have a difficult schedule this spring, including great matchups with Summit, South Salem and Central Catholic. Expect Clackamas to lean on their strong, experienced roster to make serious noise this spring.
