2026 South Dakota High School Team Preview: Brookings

The 2026 high school baseball season is quickly approaching and as usual, excitement is present throughout South Dakota. Players and coaches have been working in preparation for the upcoming season and, as is the case each year, there are some very talented players and teams across South Dakota.
Teams across the state have goals and aspirations to finish their seasons in Sioux Falls or Brooking at the SDHSBA Class A and B State championship games, but there is plenty of work to be done before that becomes reality. We hope to shine a spotlight on all teams across the state as we preview individual teams across South Dakota.

TEAM OUTLOOK
“I am excited for the Bobcats to take the field in 2026. We return a good list of guys who got alot of experience on the mound and in the field last season, so I am excited to watch those guys use that experience and use it to compete at a high level. Offensively we return a lot of the top of the order guys that I see could have a nice year at the plate for us. As a team we will have a mix of returning players and a good amount of new faces to the line up. As a coaching staff we are very excited to get to work with this group and really push on them if we play the game hard and compete every day we will be in a good spot in a lot of baseball games. ” – Carter Roach, head coach
