Each week throughout the high school season, we will announce the Prep Baseball Oregon Pitcher and Hitter of the Week, recognizing standout performances from across the state. With numerous players excelling both at the plate and on the mound, this award will be based on nominations submitted through our POTW Google Form.

Additionally, we will continue our Oregon Diamond Notes to highlight other deserving players nominated by coaches who were not selected as the Pitcher or Hitter of the Week.

This week's Pitcher of the Week is '27 LHP Cade Pettersen (North Medford).

Cade Pettersen 1B / LHP / North Medford, OR / 2027 Rankings  StateRank: 53 / POS: 3 The North Medford junior was exceptional on the mound last week, spinning 6 shutout innings in his start. The lefty struck out 8 batters, allowing just 3 hits and 4 walks overall. Pettersen was impressive at a showcase last winter and looks to have added some strength in his latest in-game look.
