Taylor Dodd OF / Casteel, AZ / 2027Casteel outfielder Taylor Dodd earns Hitter of the Week honors after an impressive showing on a national stage at the National High School Invitational in North Carolina, going toe to toe with some of the top competition in the country. The 2027 outfielder consistently found ways to impact the game each day, stringing together quality at bats while showing a mature approach and ability to consistenly put preassure on the defense. Dodd collected multiple hits in three of four games, spraying the field and controlling the zone while also adding value on the bases with his speed. The athletic, gritty outfielder continues to trend upward, proving he can perform against elite arms while maintaining a steady, competitive presence at the top of the lineup. Highlights: 8-14, 2 RBI, 3 R, 2 BB, 0 K, 2 SB

Pitcher of the Week: Week 4

Devin Long RHP / Chaparral, AZ / 2026Devin Long earns Pitcher of the Week honors after a dominant outing against the defending 5A state champions, delivering one of the top performances of the week. The 2026 arm worked six scoreless innings, allowing just two hits while striking out ten, showing the ability to overpower hitters while maintaining control of the zone. Long filled it up with 61% strike rate, consistently working ahead and dictating the tempo throughout the outing. The physical righty continues to trend as one of the more consistent performers in the state this spring, backing up this start with a strong overall body of work. On the season, Long has logged 23 innings with just nine hits allowed and two runs, posting a 4-0 record with 25 strikeouts, cementing his status as a reliable frontline presence for Chaparral.
