Over the past several days, Prep Baseball Washington was in attendance for a couple of quality matchups. On Saturday, March 14th, Lincoln edged out Edmonds-Woodway 2-0, with strong pitching on both sides. The pitching carried over into Monday's matchup, with Decatur beating Kentlake by a score of 3-1. Below are scouting notes on standout players from both games.
Lincoln vs. Edmonds-Woodway (3.14.26)
Lincoln
'28 RHP Sennet Timmermans (Uncommitted)
A top-ten ranked player in Washington's sophomore class, Timmermans was the star of the game in this one, dominating start to finish to secure an early-season victory. The 6'6, 205 pound arm attacked from the jump, working through a smooth, repeatable delivery into a 3/4 slot release for strikes. Timmermans popped an 88 with his fastball early on, settling in more 84-87 with velocity that held deep into his start. The fastball was located well to both sides of the dish. The slider was relied upon heavily, particularly the second time through the order, where he was able to generate more swing and miss while locating to the glove side well. The changeup was a real weapon as well in the low 80's, especially effective against LHH. The efficiency and balance of whiff and soft contact was evident with 8 punch outs and just 64 pitches through 6 IP. Timmermans has had multiple great showcase bullpen looks, but it's always that much better when we see an electric arsenal play in-game, and that certainly was the case over the weekend. Final line: 6 IP, H, 0 R, BB, 8 K, 64 P/47 S.

'26 INF Tilman Bisbee (Hamline Commit)
On a day where offense was at a premium, Bisbee led the way for the Lynx. The strong-framed 6'0 senior reached base twice, finishing 2-3 with a single and a double and scoring one of the runs in the 2-0 victory. At the plate, Bisbee sets with a quieter pre-pitch, with a direct, sudden bat path to contact with strength in the wrists. The natural strength played well to the big part of the field in this one, where he collected both of his hits. Bisbee was slotted into the three hole of the lineup, where he'll likely stay as a key bat for the Lynx this spring.
'27 RHP/INF Rowan Robertson (Uncommitted)
After a quality showcase look in Seattle this Winter, Robertson was one of the best performers in Saturday's contest. The junior made his impact felt on both sides of the baseball. In the third inning, he broke the deadlock with an RBI single down the left field line. Robertson sets with his weight over his rear side at the dish, creating some tilt in his upper half at impact to generate loft. The barrel travels with quickness and a whippy path through the zone. Robertson later came in to secure the game on the mound, earning the save with a clean 7th inning. The righthander worked his fastball up to 85 MPH, mixing in a low 70's curveball as well. Uncommitted junior to circle.

'26 INF Atticus Stanfield (Menlo College Commit)
The other offensive star of the game, Stanfield reached base in each of his three plate appearances in this one. The ultra-physical 6'4, 205 pound first baseman roped a double into the gap in the third before scoring the first run of the game. He also added in a single and a walk later on. The righthander sets in a more upright stance at the dish, carrying a loose-wristed, flatter stroke through the zone to produce line drive contact. Stanfield also made multiple quality defensive plays at 1B in Lincoln's victory.
Edmonds-Woodway
'26 RHP Finn Crawford (Uncommitted)
The senior has been a steady arm across multiple looks within the last year, and he kept his team in this low-scoring affair. Crawford sat 82-84 MPH with his fastball, generating some cut at times. He also mixed in a curveball at 70-72 MPH and a slider at 74-78 MPH in all counts to keep hitters off-balance early. The 6'2, 170 pound arm had a quick first two innings of work and was still relatively efficient overall, working 4 innings on 56 pitches while striking out 5 and not allowing a walk. Crawford will be relied upon heavily this spring, both on the mound and in the lineup, and looks ready to handle the workload.

'26 C Trevelyan Podawiltz (Uncommitted)
Another senior that will likely be tasked with a bigger role this spring, Podawiltz flashed despite a quieter day for the Warriors overall. The backstop stole several strikes behind the dish, framing pitches on the edges and at the top of the zone particularly well. He also showed a best pop of 2.1 seconds in between innings, despite no opportunities to throw out a runner in-game. At the plate, the senior collected one of EW's two hits with a line drive single in the 7th inning. The righty looked to be one of the more physical players on the team and carries bat to ball to be a top-to-middle of the order bat.

Decatur
'27 RHP/INF Tyler Buol (Uncommitted)
After a great 2025 season on both sides of the ball, Buol got the nod on the mound for the Gator season opener, where he impressed once again. A compact-framed, wiry athlete, Buol worked through a simple, repeatable operation with positive results on the mound. The fastball was 81-84 MPH, more 81-82 as the game went on, with some cut at times. Buol also had two distinct breaking balls he leaned upon heavily in all counts, with a slider and curveball both in the low 70's. Despite never overpowering or outmatching hitters, Buol generated weak contact and limited extra base hits to result in a successful night on the hill. Final line: 5.1 IP, 5 H, R (0 ER), BB, 7 K. The righty also finished 1-4 at the plate and will be a staple near the top of the order this spring.

'26 INF Nate Gilmore (Puget Sound Commit)
Physicality from the right side of the plate is a theme in the middle of the Decatur lineup, and Gilmore certainly fits this bill in the 5 hole. The 6'5 first baseman easily had the best offensive showing of the night, finishing 2-3 with 2 doubles and a HBP. The swing works well with more fluidity since the previous look, generating easy batspeed naturally without looking out of control or violent. The power flashed to the pull side and up the middle on the two doubles, generating loud line drive contact both times. The Puget Sound commit carries enough athleticism to stick at either corner INF spot, playing 1B in this look.

'27 INF/RHP Ethan Flavel (Uncommitted)
One of the bigger winners of the preseason, Flavel boasted triple digit exit velocity power and a fastball nearing 90 MPH in a showcase setting. The junior carried over this strong showing to a quality in-game look on both sides of the baseball. Offensively, the stocky-framed righty maintains a shorter swing, letting the larger frame produce power to the big part of the yard. Flavel put together a productive AB with a sac fly to plate the first run of the game, muscling through a single late in the game as well. On the mound, the righty took some time to settle in, but displayed the same arm talent seen this winter. The fastball was more 85-86 when he first entered the game but touched 88-89 several times by the end of his outing. The control was more off and on in this one, but when in the zone he overmatched hitters at times. The uncommitted junior has loud tools and will be a must-follow this spring.
'27 OF CJ Gatterson (Uncommitted)
A twitchy-quick prospect atop the Gator lineup, Gatterson is another junior who had a strong 2025 and looks to carry the momentum into this season. The outfielder lined a 90 MPH fastball back up the middle for a single on the first pitch of the game, setting the tone atop the lineup. He also worked a walk and scored 2 of the 3 Decatur runs. Perhaps his biggest contribution of the night came defensively, where he made the play of the night with a laser beam throw to gun out a runner heading to third base. The center fielder plays with a noticable confidence to his game and will be a key piece to Decatur's success in 2026.
Kentlake
'26 RHP/INF Christopher Moore (Washington Commit)
A longtime top-end prospect in Washington's senior class, Moore's two-way talent was on display beginning to end in this one as he tried to will his team to victory. On the mound, Moore topped out at 91 MPH early, settling in more 88-89 as the game progressed. The righty leaned on his plus slider in all counts, pitching backwards at times with the pitch in the zone before expanding to generate chases to his glove side with two strikes. Moore had to work around traffic consistently in this one, but found a way to generally limit the damage, allowing just one unearned run across 4 innings of work. Moore struck out 8 and walked 2 overall. At the plate, the senior carried the load as well in this game. Moore finished 2 for 3 with a pair of singles and the lone RBI, delivering a clutch knock to tie the game at one in the 6th inning. The senior played with a fire and aggression in all facets and heads into the spring as a legitimate POTY candidate.

'27 C Aiden Kramlich (Uncommitted)
Another player coming off of a quality showcase look this winter, Kramlich displayed defensive skill this February and handled higher-velocity arms relatively well in this in-game look. The backstop stole pitches on the edges and kept the run game in check, throwing out a runner while not allowing a stolen base. At the dish, the junior had just two plate apperances on the night, but checked in with a line drive single up the middle. The swing stays connected in the lower half well with a wider base at impact, with a flatter, gap to gap approach shown. Kramlich scored the lone run for Kentlake as well. Well-rounded look.

'28 INF Lincoln Moore (Uncommitted)
The top-ranked player in Washington's sophomore class had a quieter offensive night in this one, but still flashed the high-level traits that have had scouts buzzing in recent months. The athletically built 6'2 infielder displayed his familiar smooth, soft hands in pregame INF/OF, with fluid movements fit to stick at SS long-term. The righty saw a steady diet of breaking balls all night long at the plate, driving one to the deepest part of the yard for a long flyout on his best swing of the night. Must-follow heading into the remainder of the year.
