It is officially that time again, and after a busy preseason across the Old Line State and Delaware, our staff updates the MD/DE Class of 2027 Rankings. This update remains at the Top 150 players across MD and DE, as we see slight movement in the top 10 and a plethora of risers inside the top 50.

Noah McMurray RHP / OF / Huntingtown High School, MD / 2027Rankings StateRank: 14 / POS: 5
A strong spring is on the horizon for one of the top arms in the 2027 class across Maryland, as he jumps inside the top 15 of this latest update. A really strong look at this year’s MD Preseason All-State II showcase, running the fastball into the upper 80s with relative ease, showcasing some late life and feel for both sides of the plate. The breaker has added some bite with improved shape down in the zone and should see some more effectiveness this spring in the SMAC. The changeup has always been productive and certainly rounds out one of the top three-pitch mixes in the state. |

Parker Dix RHP / 1B / Oakdale High, MD / 2027Rankings StateRank: 16 / POS: 6
Yet another arm rises throughout these ranks, as the Old Dominion commit put forth a stellar performance at this year’s MD Preseason All-State I. Added strength and mobility is what stood out to me, as the lower half is bulked up and has turned in some added fastball velo in this latest look, up to 89 mph with some more to come this spring. The breaker continues to shape up and the splitter has added increased dive action down in the zone. When Dix is in the zone, there’s no question that this is one of the top helium arms in the state. |

Anthony Williams SS / 2B / Calvert Hall College High School, MD / 2027Rankings StateRank: 20 / POS: 5
Our first in-depth look in awhile at the physical shortstop took place in January this year at a ProCase, and the takeaways were certainly impressive. Proportionally strong with plenty of athleticism, the Duke commit is poised for a huge junior campaign with Calvert Hall. Gap-to-gap strength should play fairly consistently this spring, and look for this to be one of the top middle-of-the-order power bats in the MIAA.
